I am making a switch to DSL from Cable, and today the cable is being cut off and the DSL modem was supposed to be here (The DSL service is already on). However, they had some mix up with the mail, so they have to re-send it, meaning I'll be without internet for about a week (right on the release of Silent Hunter 3). I mean, dynamic campaign will be fun but I wanted to do some multiplayer. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Cable to DSL?

Why on earth??!?!??!

Do you have a crappy cable provider?

Well two reasons, first of all money. DSL is half the price here. Second of all my cable has a bandwidth limit of 3 gigabytes a month, which for a gamer like me that downloads demos (anybody see that 650 megabyte Battlefield 2 movie recently? Not me...it's too big)...it's impossible. Barely enough for regular net surfing. So I'm switching.

Ick!

Yeah, I see the point in moving to DSL then. Just make sure you live really close to one of their service stations.

Cable here, on a good day I get about 4 to 4.5 Mbps, no bandwidth limit. That's pretty bad that they limit you to 3 Gigs per month.

Downspeed 44.736 Mbps. (Not all mine though, but I get most of it after 3 PM)
