Hello,

I have very weird problem with game that makes it unplayable. Letís start from the begining.

After fixing problem with activation key on Steam, I could not launch the game. Status in Steam changed to runing, black screen for few seconds and game crashes. I installed the newest drivers for my nVidia GPU (398.36) but this not changed anything. I installed DirectX and vcredist directly from game installation folder. This also not changed anything. On the forum I found solution for this. I edited file in My Documents named PCScalability.xml, value Appearance from 2 to 1. After this changes game finally launched.

First thing I wanted to make in game was editing some settings. What is really intresting I can not make any changes in graphical settings because every save attempt is finished by game crash. So in that situation I edited what I can in PCScalability.xml file (things like FPS lock, VSync, etc.). I can not run game in full screen mode, only borderless option and windowed option works.

I thought that this is the end of problems but I was wrong. Game is crashing randomly while playing. Sometimes after 5 minutes gameplay sometimes ater 40 minutes. The FPS is also not so good ony my PC (spec below). I do not have recommended PC parts but far better than minimal requirements. I locked game to 30 FPS because when it was locked on 60 i had drops to 40. 30 FPS was stable to snow time. When snow appeared FPS droped to 23, I had really laggy gameplay.

For now with above issues, the game is unplayable for me. I am really upset because I bought G29 steering wheel specially for this game.

PC specification:
CPU: Intel i7 4770K (overclocked from 3.5GHz to 4.2GHz)
MB: Asus ROG Maximus VII HERO
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 960 (4GB RAM)
RAM: 2 x Kingston HyperX 8GB
System: Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit)

I think that I made everything what I could (also thinkgs like runing with admin permissions and UPlay update), nothing works for me. Do anyone have any solutions? Can I expect any patch for my problems?

Cheers

Hi guys! Have you tried verifying your game files as well? (Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335) / Uplay (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/faqs/000019000/Install-Uninstall-Verify-A-Game-in-Uplay/)).
If you are still having performance issues, please make a ticket (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Cases/New) with your msinfo and dxdiag files attached (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/Details/kA030000000emSbCAI?name=how-to-submit-dxdiag-and-msinfo-files). Thanks!

Yes, I tried to verify game files (first thing I made). I will send ticket later today. For me thereís one more issue. As people are posting I do not have force feedback from G29.

I found something new with issues that I have. I used fix from this thread:

https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1900365-Game-exits-about-a-minute-after-login/page17

In my opinion, overall performance increased. I found out that I can change graphical settings in game while game is running in windowed mode. In borderless I can not change graphical settings and full screen mode is not working (game crash). All time I can not get smooth 60 FPS (no matter if it is low, middle, high or ultra settings) but for now 30 FPS on high are stable. What is more interesting, game do not use really much PC resources. In other games, like Steep, if I am playing on higher settings, PC uses more resources, in The Crew 2 PC is running all time the same no matter what game settings are.

Yesterday G29 force feedback was alive for a few seconds. It was automatically rotating to right so some sort of informations are going to wheel.

Game is still crashing randomly with no error code (dialog with information that game crashed). Where I can figure out what is happening in crash time? Any event handler that is in Windows 7?
