When switching from auto to manual prop-pitch in mid flight would it be possible for the prop to retain the setting it was on when under automatic control rather han screaming off to 100% (rounded to the nearest 5%) ?

Sounds reasonable since some ahve quoted pilots that turned off the kommandgorat (sp) only in situation to run very lean because of lack of fuel. Inferring from this anecdote one is lead to believe the pilot did this mid flight, without blowing up his engine (or we would never had heard this anecdote, hed be dead), etc. etc.

Not a bad idea, but it's not really hard to just pull the throttle back before you switch to manual.

Dont know if you know this Lixma but if your using buttons to work the prop pitch you can set the prop pitch before hitting the auto/manual button.try it out....hit down prop pitch a bunch of times and then hit auto/manual button and the prop pitch is where you set it.

Also it would help to adjust the radiator setting both directions...

Thanks, Wolf. Did not know that - there's no indication of change on the 'hud' though while you're altering it which would be nice.

Buzz, the only time i bother with prop pitch is when i'm stalking/chasing somebody and the last thing i want to do is cut the throttle for even a fraction of a second.

Diesel, agree totally on the radiator controls.

Put prop pitch on your mouse wheel. Then it will drop to 50%.
