Well, here's the first post-release review I've seen of the game and, while he does note that the game has some bugs, Jason Ocampo gives the game very high praise, calling SH3 "the new king of submarine games".

There are also three new gameplay footage videos at the same webpage.

Didn't think about it before, but do you English speaking people pronounce U-Boot the same way he (Jason Ocampo) does 'Das Boot'? Das Boet - U-Boet? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

People who don't know how to pronounce the German 'oo' sound in boat do pronounce it that way. It's pretty funny, especially since it makes it sound like an article of footwear.

For those who don't know German, the German word 'Boot' is pronounced almost exactly the same way as the English 'Boat'.

Actually... the German pronounciation of 'Boot' and the English 'boat' are quite similar. So, I really don't get the 'oe'-thing... maybe it's the typical American lack of knowledge of other cultures and languages? Just kiddin' here... you Americans are great! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

How do you pronounce boot?

I say it like its written "boot" like footwear...

Is it boat the same as english, just written differently?

That puzzles me... where in the movie 'Das Boot' is there a reference (if any) to a boot? No, it's about a boat, a U-boat.

Exactly which part do you not understand? The Boot-part, the boat-part or the Boet/boet-part?

The movie is not about German quality footwear (Das Adidas oder das Puma)... it's about a boat. Not that hard is it?

It is if you don't speak German, Urta. In English, "Boot" is a type of footwear. The natural tendency is to pronounce it the way you know it. When I first saw the movie, the friend who introduced me to it spoke German, so he told me how it was really pronounced. I still sometimes goof, though.
