$450? Thats 225...hmmmm....I think I'd have had to go for it...and then sleep in my car for the next week to avoid the Mrs, but it would have been worth it!

Grumpy? Who? Me?

The wind was blowing in my face? The sun was in my eyes? I was tired of walking and that large tire to my left looked really inviting? My Boots were too tight?

I'm sure I had a reason

Good to be back (however briefly) and see you again, too (and some of the other names I remember). http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Oh my God! It's so big & ugly!

However the Liberator itself is quite beautiful.

(Only Joking)

Thanks for posting these pics Odin - i have actually always thought the Liberator was an ugly, pregnant-looking monster but your pictures have just changed my mind! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Awesome pics! The B-24 is a beauty. Hopefully she can make an appearance at the Michigan airshow in August!

Here's a clip posted recently on Youtube flying with the B-29 over Nebraska.

Ahhh, Witchcraft. She belongs to the Collings Foundation. I believe it was originally painted as "All American", later "The Dragon and His Tail", now as you see her today. I managed to snag one of those rides when she stopped by Florida last year. Definitely worth the money, and it's tax deductible!

By the way, for anyone that's headed to the Sun and Fun fly-in in Lakeland, Florida: I understand a Curtiss Helldiver and Dauntless Divebomber will be attending!

Nice pics Odin ,thanks for posting .Anyone else see the irony in MAUSER being written on the side of the plane amongst all those names?(Maker of the Luftwaffe MG151/20 cannon right?)

Heresy! Heresy!

Seriously, though, it's not as bad looking as some other planes. I do think the B-24D looks much better than the later marks, however.

(OK, technically "Diamond Lil" was an LB-30)
It was repainted and reconfigured in 2007 and is now known as "Ol 927"
