Just now, I've climbed to the very top of the Castello. Right up the flag poll.

Only after that have I realised the true vastness of the whole series.. watching the whole of rome from above the clouds, looking at the landmarks that I can clearly recognise and each unique rooftop that I can walk along whenever I like.

Only then had I realised the pure size of it.. what were your reactions when you climbed the flag poll?

Well, When I first went up I facepalmed. I was looking backwards at the Background buildings then parachuted, down towards the White Animus wall..

The second time however I, Was impressed.

I didn't feel, like the buildings were spaced as well for free running as AC2, and did miss the brightness that was in Florence and Venice ( Especially Carnivale ) but I still loved rome.

I just hope that the maps are made like they were in AC2 for the next one though.
I don't mean same area's etc. I just want different main cities, with different settings, to break things up a bit.

But all in all I was amazed at the size, and liked Rome =) at the top flagpole I also tried imagining myself running across the rooftops XD

I was like this:

-*Yelling at the guard that was throwing rocks at me* "Stop throwing rocks at me, I need to climb this stupid flagpole!
-*I'm at the top* "AWESOMESAUCE!"
-"Now to do a leap of faith!*Jumps* Wait, wrong direction. Nooooooooooooooo!!!"

Parachuting from it is epic. I know, Venice and Florence are better cities - but we didn't have a full city view like we have in Rome. I loved looking at the landmarks like the Colloseum and the Pantheon. Great sights.

I imagined myself free running aswell. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

@magesupermaster
You need to parachute down, the leap of faith isn't long enough. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

You can do a leap of faith, but you end up on the walls of the Castello.

And I did use the parachute, I was like; Yeah, Death-From-Above!

My reaction was the same. I was absolutely awestruck. Just...blown away at the sheer size, the fact that the Coliseum looked...puny compared to where you were. It reminded me of Acre. However, the entire time I was climbing, I couldn't get Angels and Demons out of my head though.

I jumped, but apparently my game decided that whenever I load back up, it takes all of my parachutes away from me. I remember screaming, "SH*T SH*T SH*T SH*T!" all the way down, and being kinda sad that not one of the cardinals even glanced at my dead body. =(

Second time, I parachuted.

I remember the first time I climbed to the top of the church (Acre) in AC1 I actually jumped in the wrong direction. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I said "That would be really awesome using a parachute".
Jumped.
Mashed the square button.
...
Realized I had no parachutes.
Died :|

I did it a second time, tho. Freaking awesome!

I forced my gf to stop what she was doing and come look. She was not as impressed as I was as it turns out.

It's weird how you freak out for a second as if you were really looking to die horribly or maybe that's just me.

This happened to me at least once in every AC game to date.

I also do that. After playing two games of Ezio, you become unintentionally emotionally attached to him.

One time, I think I was on one of the cliffs and I fought some guards.
Then, one of the guards shot me and I watched as Ezio fell to his death, only to see him land on the end of a barrel with his back!

In that immediate moment I said: "Ouch, that can't be good.."

Rome looked great from that spot but after I jumped from the flagpole I noticed that I hadn't any parachutes left http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif.

No achievement for me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif.

Alot of people seem to be checking their parachutes and direction of jumping AFTER they've leaped from the highest point ever made in any AC game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
