Hi All,

Have been lurking around this forum for quite a while now, basicly since I started playing this wonderfull game. Before this came I had some subsim experience with Silent service 1, 688 attack sub and redstorm rising. Weirdly enough I never played AOTD, which appearantly was(or still is) a wonderfull game as well.

All that I couldn't figure out myself about this game I found on this forum by just going through the different topics. I started out playing on an easy level like 60% with auto targeting on and all the eyecandy turned on ofcourse..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Anyways, since a couple of days I am now playing on 88% using manual targetting and only have the map updates and external view unchecked. (External view will be checked soon too but since I am still practising my shooting skills its easier to see what my torpedoes do after I came up with a solution. I've started a new campaing with the 88% settings and so far I am quite satisfied with 3 patrols completed (2043/8078/23720 tons) where the last patrol was done in a VIIB.

By the way I am living in the netherlands but am in the middle of the proces of obtaining a visa so my wife, daughter and me can move to the states. I'll try to keep posting from now on and share my experiences with you all but don't know how much I will be able too since everything is quite hectic around here..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well it was a longer introduction then I ment it to be but oh well..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Its nice to meet you guys and happy hunting to you all!

Hi Sadzior,

Guess I shouldn't be complaining about the snow here since its probebly way worse in Poland..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Anyways, to answer your question....

Its normally quite hard I think to obtain a visa for America, but since my wife is American and my daughter has double nationality its made a lot easier for me. Otherwise its very difficult (IMO). Only things I don't look forward too are the medical and vaccinations (They lost my vaccination records so I will get all the shots I allready had in my life http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif)

Celeon never had any problems obtaining Visa for the usa.

Celeon remembers this funny checkbox questions he had to fill out in the plane. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

"Are you ,or have you ever been member of a national socialistic organisation ?" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Celeon erased the word national letting stand socialistic alone checking the "yes" box and was curious what would happen at the LAX airport visa check. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (Somehow i had to do it) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

The lady checking my visa looked through my papers and looked a bit http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif for the first time as she read "Federal Republic of Germany" and as she was going through the question list she stopped with her pen at that "socialistic" thing and looked at Celeon with her http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif view.

Celeon was just making http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

And she smiled and said "Welcome to the United States of America" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

well I have had some troublesome experiences with American immigration when I was just visiting so I am not really eager to tell 'm I'm gonna stay..(When I have my card)..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Second time I ever went there my then girlfriend (Now wife) had to go through the american checkpoint while I had to go through the non-us citizens one...well we had the brilliant Idea to purchase the tickets in the states and let them send to us so when I stept up to the official he looked at my ticket and looked back at me with a suspicious look on his face and told me how I obtained an american ticket..well I was quite nervous since we were not gonna say that we were traveling together because we were affraid that they would tell us that I couldn't enter the country because they would be affraid I stay there. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Anyways, I told him I was visiting friends...http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif that was appearantly not convincing so he told me that he was keeping my passport and ticket and I had to collect my luggage and wait in a special area for immigration... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

So I walked up to my wife who allready had plenty of time to get the suitcases and told her I needed my suitcases for a checkup....

So there I was together with yet another official and by that time sweating like a pig... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gifanyways they asked me all kind of questions about my work and my purpose of visit and then they wanted to open my suitcases...I would have been home free if they didn't went through the suitcases since I had no Idea what was in it......

well the first things he took out were a bra...some panties and some other feminin stuff.....OH THE HORROR!!!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif She gave me the wrong suitcase.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif So I was left with the option to confess that I was there with my gf which was laughing her head off from a safe distance... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Well after some interviews for the both of us where they checked our stories I was finally able to get in the states.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

But that was a lesson well learned....Will be a lot more carefull now of what I say and how I say it... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif
