No he means FOOTBALL; you know, someone using their FOOT to kick a BALL. And then, of course, falling over at the first puff of wind http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

in a show called south park
a kid named stan gets a john elway action figure with kung fu action.
they make fun of coloradians by saying the only cebebrity they know is john elway all the time.
a bit ot but when my three brothers went to a place in boston mass with something called and omni theater i can't remember the name we went to a star wars exibit with my young cusin kenny and while waiting in line they asked us to name the first star wars action figures
remembering that south park me and my little brother told kenny to say john elway and he just kinda screamed it out it was very funny and he just didn't under stand why we told him john elway.

Oh ned, that's mean. Funny, but mean. (evil grin)

That was in the Boston Museum of Science. They had the Science of Star Wars exhibition a whie back. It also houses the Omni Mugar Theatre.

Yeah, I know funning on soccer is dangerous around these parts, but you have to understand us 'mericans been without Football for 8 months. Us fans are boiling over in anticipation.

The only lines on a field we wanna see are grid iron yard markers not goal creases and mid field lines.

The only ball we wanna see is a funny brown shaped thing not a round one with black and white patches.

On sports programs they usually refer to it as NFL or Gridiron. It actually gets a fair bit of late night coverage over here on a couple of TV channels.

What we call it away from the public media isn't printable, and if I told you it'd get me banned!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I think it is insult myself. I played "American" Football from age 6 to 18. I do respect soccor, and played it for a couple of years, I think it has nothing on US football. Scoring and hitting being the big diffrence.

Why watch guys run back and forth to score 1 or 2 points at the most, there is nothing there (keep in mind that I did play soccor) to keep me interested.

To you folks that love soccor I give you props, but its not for me. Enjoy your game and I will enjoy mine, but dont insult because you dont understand mine. Really what hurts worse, falling because you got triped or getting hammered by a 250LB linebacker?

Even Zdanes headbutt looked like a love tap compared to a QB getting sacked by a 300LB linemen.

Now first off why do you have to go there with the fairy bit? You are the first person I ever heard use the term in relation to NFL football.. secondly... fastest strongest biggest in the world? Pfftt!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

PUUUUHHLEASE!!!! You have GOT to be kiddin man... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif What a crock!! As far as big and fast goes I give Rugby more kudos than soccer... Some of you guys kill me.... you are so friggin insecure you cant even say "Vive la difference!!" and live and let live.... No you have to go around and start ragging the NFL... LOL... Id like to see you go two quarters in full gear, full contact.... then you would change the fairy bit... you still might not care for the sport.. but you would have a lot more respect for it and what the players do... gauranteed... Pfftt!!! grass fairies indeed.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Calling a 350lb linesman athletic, though, is a bit of a stretch. Most of the big guys have to sit on the bench with an oxygen mask if they run more than 50 yards on one play!

So sport is only about who's the strongest and who can hit the harder ? Should we just forget about soccer/football, American football (that's what we call it in France) and talk about boxing then ?

Why is it that you guys have to constantly compare European football to American football?

Is it the football part? Is it insecurities? Pi$$ing matches?

That's like comparing eggplants to omelettes because the latter is made with eggs and a bit of vegetation.

These games are totally different from each other. To add, they each have their good points and bad points and these points are, once again, totally different.

It's no wonder educational threads get locked while threads like these live on forever. The mods are football fans. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
