Get mad at me if you want to but if I had know how wishy washy PF was going to be, I would not have paid $40 for it. Heck, out of some 20 servers on Hyperlobby, its hard to find a dedicated PTO server.

I remember some guys saying they will buy two or more copies. LOL. Where are they now?

Ebay = I already burned a copy so am now selling it to make a profit possibly even selling many copies.

Why would anyone support their thievery? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Where are we? Disappointed and waiting, as I am. I bought 3 copies at Best Buy in California the first day out. When I realized that PF was incomplete and could not really stand-alone, I returned the 2 copies I meant to give as presents. I would have had to set them up, monitor for patches, and kept tweaking for a couple of normal users--not to mention the lack of content. That's a lot of work and time for something that's not quite ready yet.

I hope to see the final working patch, and the hoped for add-on patch--really the 3rd CD--to make it really stand-alone. The complexity and difficulty of all the patches, tweaks, configs, and add-ons is getting to be a bit overwhelming for me. I'm a fairly experienced PC gamer, and I can't imagine how an average user can cope with it.

Um leb your whole statment is not very reasonable. Number one I sure these guys exist that your talking about. Number 2 I sure that NOT ALL people selling games on EBAY are crooks. I use to sell mine, get 15 20 bucks for game you don't play anymore. But hey if you like to stack up your old games and use them for coasters good for you.

Anyway seems you get a better deal now trading in games, then getting 10 bucks, and the hassle of ebay.

I've noticed two of the online stores have also cut their price on PF already. It seems the professional reviews haven't helped sales any.

You really think that billfish? I just think its Most people who buy flight sims dont stick with them long is all especially in one with no user made free addons, sound, terrain meshes etc. It really limits a long interesting play life, especially the no world terrain meshs but small square maps which most of us all flew over thousands of times.

Im happy fb aep pf didnt go that route to ensure very limited cheating online something of the past all flightsims were notorious for.

I really don't think ebay is all pirate copies as you think billfish but people who just lost interest in the game. Or do not have the latest systems to run it with playable fps of perfect. I bought pf for many people I work with and alot of relatives and sisters fiance. They all do not play the game at all anymore just me out of about 14 people.

A few of them sold it on ebay the others dust do not play and are more into faced paced action type of games or the rts style games.

I just posted this just to save the new user some money, They still need to drop $30 for FB and AEP which is a good deal compaired to the $100 most of us payed for this game

FB $30 AEP $30 PF $40

then dont forget il2 sturmovik $30 So thats $130 for this series. Now its alot cheaper $30 for the FB+AEP Gold pack and PF for $40

No kidding! People don't seem to grasp the fact that the Pacific Theater has always played second fiddle to the European Theater - even during the real war! Why are so many people surprised that this is reflected in sales?

The Pacific Theater has always been my primary area of interest. I was chomping at the bit from the moment PF was announced, pre-ordered my copy, and have been ecstatic ever since installing it.

I, for one, am thankful that Oleg and team would put the time and effort into a sim with a known to be less popular theme so that folks like me can enjoy it.

Enough naysaying! Nay, I say! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yep I do think that....Sell PF for $6....my time to put it on ebay then all that goes with it is worth much more. If I'm not gonna use it, I'd just toss it rather then deal with the hassle.

As to being bored with it, well I'd have to say anyone who is bored with it would be no matter how much was in it or however open ended.

I keep saying, I've had IL2FB since it first came out and fly daily roughly 3-6 hours....same with all the others. I've NEVER offline flown a campaign, never single missions, rarely QMB. Most of my play is online. Of IL2FB I'd guess I've flown maybe 1/4-1/2 of the planes if that, AEP even less, PF even less still.

So at this rate, being I have so much "stock" product to get through, let alone player built missions/campaigns/skinning/FMB etc. to do, my guess is I'll not be bored with it for the life of, well ME!....No doubt I'll just move on to something else that perks my interest as sims progress.

So yes, I'd say most copies of PF on ebay are probably where someone has ripped it, and perhaps even ripped it to distribute.

What I can't understand is why anyone would buy from ebay something they can get realatively cheap from somewhere they can trust. More so, if knowing the product manufacturer 1c (I consider Ubi a distributor of 1c work) makes a good product and i'd like to see more from them, why not toss in my 2 coppers to help insure continued growth vs. insuring in the end most get it for a minimal amount, the manufacturer gaining little.

Kinda like a community lawnmower...they cost $300, but when the manufacturer can only sell 10 vs the 1,000, soon they'll be $30,000 or they'll be out of business.

$40.....that's nothing for what you get. In the end I'm paying about $0.001 (1/10th of a cent) for every hour of recreation. Frankly, I've not found it cheaper elsewhere....

Did you notice on the "item location", it say "shipping from oversea to", i bought last year BF1942 and road to rome in one package for 29.00 US from a seller like one of these ones and i received an envelope from Thailand with the CD's and the front and back sleeves and of course the cd-key. All the kit worked well but i know this is a copy, a very good copy indeed but a **** copy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
