As long as I'm wishing..I think Do-17 and its varients like the do-217 would be much more useful than the Arado ,,,which I admit is sexy & fast but basically unarmed...

You'd have more fun in a Westland Whirlwind.

But still not as fun as in a Henschel 123.

...sigh...
Flyable Tempest
Typhoon
Mossie
Swordfish
Defiant
Fulmar
Battle
Whirlwind
Hornet

...and that's just the British one or two engined models.

Why not the CAC Boomerang as well?

I bet between us we could come up with a list of 'planes that "SHOULD" be in the game that's longer than the list that IS in the game.

Clearly everyone has their favourites and what we'd all really like is a FULL list of EVERY plane that actually appeared in WW2 or nearly did or was sketched by mad German scientists as the bombs fell around them...

Plus every ship, military vehicle, railway, building, and fortification that existed or may have existed or was thought of during the entire 39-45 period, with add-ons for the Spanish civil war, the Japanese in China, the Korean war, World war one, the Boer war, and the American civil war (observation baloons).

And all historically accurate of course. And while we're all at it, let's have crowds of fleeing refugees to strafe and some livestock to blow up.

If you want it so bad why don't you model it?

1c and Oleg are way to busy to start add new aircraft that aren't made by a third party. I've been asking for this plane since I joined the forum 2 years ago... sometimes you just gotta accept that we can't have everything. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Its already done. Sometime hopefully in the next couple months a patch full of western front aircraft will be released, including but not limited to (hopefully):

Ju88
Mosquito
Do-335

and some others look in Olegs Ready Room their all listed there.

It kind of annoys me in a way because half of the I want it questions would be answered, at least partially if people just visited that forum every now and again.

I REALLY hope the 234 is in the Jet expansion pack that is to be released! (and i hope all 3 come to the US!)

We need more of the basic "bread and butter" aircraft that had far more usage than another late war uber plane.

I am afraid a Arado 234 will only be able to be used on very late war maps, whereas a Do17, Ju88 or Mossie could be used all throughout the war so any of these should come before the Arado.

Also it would probably be left off maps like the Me262 (which is only used as a bonus plane if blue won the last map on my fav server), and also He162 and P80 gO229 etc etc.

People want to see the workhorse aircraft which actually fought the battles, not the very few fantasy aircraft.

Go fly online a bit more and you will see what we mean, there are sorely needed planes missing.

I would be very happy to have a "Blitz" in FB, but there are a lot of bombers that should be added before, even if not flyable, for instance : D0-17, DO-217, B-26, Sally ...

I will like a Blitz ingame, nice for fast bombing.

I also will like this:

So you want a bunch of has beens, failures or stop gaps rather than the 1 plane which more people in the UK worked on more than any other during WW2? The Wellington would be cool though, could use it for allot of different roles and was bomber commands backbone for several years.

the others where more multirole than the lanc, partly by design, and mostly because harris wouldnt let anyone else have lancs http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

mossie was the ultimate fast bomber, for axis theres the ju88S, russians, pe2 and tu2c or whatever.

sure the blitz was good, but not very useful for us mission makers. mossies where extensivly used, and went to berlin a fair bit too. (berlin express)
might be as high as 60odd concecutive nights, berlin was bombed by mossies.

plus we could use a bomber mossie for recon too, true of blitz too, being the only plane that could photo dday stuff for the axis

you forgot the Overstrand....never saw WWII combat http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

and none of those types could ever have been described as has-beens, failures or stop gaps

they all suited the purpose at the time they were introduced, and in some cases overachieved

one may actually stretch that the LANC was a stop-gap....serendipity, at least

that the Lanc was #1 is debatable, given the ealier Halifax...which many crew and pilots actually perferred over the Lanc, at least once the Hali V came about
