Just wrote my reply. I chose a beauty valley, with Buddhist/Hindi temples, that hold dark secrets.

Also: I COULD HUG YOU LEGION!! I believe it was you, who said you had a good feeling we'd get something on February, and here we are :D Day #1! Nice way to start the month.

I'm surprised how accurate that prediction was xD But as far as I have seen we have up to 2 months break between posts.

Just hope to see more soon. Rather starving for more info.

But yeah. We shall have to wait I suppose. Given my answer as well. Well done on the sooth saying, Legion. XP

Probably you already knew about this:
https://thumbor.forbes.com/thumbor/960x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fblogs-images.forbes.com%2Fjimdobson%2Ffiles%2F2015%2F11% 2Ftemple-1.jpg

I'll love to raid or explorer something like this, either could be one in one of the temples we already saw in premiere trailer or somewhere else.

And how about a city fusion of Angkor Wat and Hong Kong? That amazing Khmer architecture mixed with cyberpunk modernity? Well, you already did something similar in debut trailer but Angkor Wat exhume another type of aura, if you know what I mean ;)
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/41/Angkor_Wat.jpg

And how about floating isles made of plants similar to the ones in lake Titicaca from Uru people? The last remnant of an ancient civilization...
https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3570/3657257460_81cb929f54_b.jpg

We also need a Petra-like city, in the vast desert, a commercial enclave of refined people.
https://d11fdyfhxcs9cr.cloudfront.net/templates/180805/myimages/327417_4614901220725_1664345053_o.jpg

Since China is included in this, are you planing to recreate the Old Summer Palace? Sadly destroyed by barbaric ignorants. Perhaps a very wealthy man/woman what to recreate it as it was in its former glory using hybrids to construct it:
http://lifestyle.mb.com.ph/wp-content/uploads/Summer-Palace.jpg

Or a enigmatic city lost in a vast planetary ocean similar to Nam Madol?
http://beforeitsnews.com/contributor/upload/30080/images/nanmadol4.jpg

A metropolis in the top of a mountain similar to Machu Picchu:
https://image.pbs.org/poster_images/assets/UZ6A018020-20Machu20Picchu20scenic.jpg.resize.710x399.jpg

With cyclopean walls like Sacsayhuaman (including that odd random cut pattern of the stones that seems to be a way to prevent that earthquakes destroy buildings):
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rlK6hxLAl-o/VTKs-_-1wkI/AAAAAAAACZg/rcU-tDnH878/s1600/sacsayhuaman.jpg

Or Cuzco walls:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9df0Jr6NC3s/UYGqGOG2jiI/AAAAAAAAAtE/Je5WPo8Bm_8/s1600/Inka_mauern_cuzco,+Inca+walls,+Alexander+Fiebrandt ,+CC+BY+SA+3.0.+Wikim.+Comm.jpg

And how about the rainbow mountains of Zhangye Danxia, perhaps the home of one of the most exotic alien species we will find (BTW are we going to discover new alien intelligent species?):
https://thumbor.forbes.com/thumbor/960x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fblogs-images.forbes.com%2Ftrevornace%2Ffiles%2F2015%2F11 %2Frainbow-mountains-zhangye-danxia-1200x799.jpg

A town in constructed in a cliff, similar to some native american tribes:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4f/Mesaverde_cliffpalace_20030914.752.jpg

Or hot springs on rocks like in Pamukkale, Turkey:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l9MOZrWXn48/T6FvXON6dhI/AAAAAAAADXg/JU2UfQMaAdY/s1600/Pamukkale-Turkey1.jpg

What if there was a place like Cerrado, Brazil but instead of termites nest all those were constructions? A perfect symbiosis of technology and nature?
https://images.robertharding.com/preview/RM/RH/HORIZONTAL/1173-4001.jpg

One more option Mount Roraima, quite sui generis place, and an excellent location for a pirate hideout :D
http://buzz.iloveindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/bizarre-places-1.jpg

What if we have a city under a glacier? Like Mendenhall Glacier Caves, Alaska?https://img.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeed-static/static/2014-03/enhanced/webdr04/6/13/enhanced-buzz-2757-1394130707-30.jpg

And how about this:
http://www.newsweek.com/climate-change-shadow-zone-stagnant-water-pacific-ocean-709707

If is possible that a zone in our oceans could remain unaltered for 1000 years well same thing could happen in the immensity of space, don't you think?

Well, that's all for today folks!

I'd especially like to see something similar to the nam madol ruins pictured there and the towns/villages carved into cliff faces.

All of those images are amazing~

In BGE2 I would really like to see cultural /religious wonders like pyramids mixed with a futuristic style (like the pyramid from enslaved) and something like an enemy pirate crew in the style of the ancient egyptian animal gods like Horus the falcon or sobek the crocodile

Also I would really like to see big theme based space ships like from some indigenous tribes or something more futuristic like a big casino with slot machines and games.

As planetary environment i also could imagine something like a junkyard or a city build on clouds or some underwater city with human-fish type species or like in bioshock, completely abandoned but with some rare tresure

And I would like to travel on my Pirat ship through space listening to some pirate songs like in assassins creed black flag but in a kinda futuristic way

Inspirations could be one piece, assassins creed black flag, cowboy bebop, borderlands, enslaved: odyssey to the west

What du you think about this?

ElPrimordial
02-03-2018, 11:32 PM
Thanks! I'm glad you like it and I really hope it will provide some inspiration to BGE team!
Now let me elaborate some of previous suggestions and add others :o

One thing that made me love BGE even more was the inclusion of astronomy in it... yeah, it was very simple and small but I loved very much that small detail when we can detect other sidereal objects in Hillys' night firmament... so let's talk about planets.

Perhaps you're aware of the presence of enormous oceans in some of our solar system bodies, specifically Europa (quite coincidence isn't?) and Encedalus:
http://cdn.zmescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/EuropaInterior1.jpg

http://www.americaspace.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/PIA19656_fig1.jpg

So keeping on with the idea of a city under a glacier, a moon or planet of this type could be possible, since it is theorizes that Europa's ice outer shell could be 3-4 km thick. Probably the rest is water but let's imagine that, somehow, exists gargantuan bubbles of air inside this ice shell, and life (or intelligent alien beings if BGE team decide to add more species besides the DomZ and the Nazh ;)), or human/hybrids explorers while searching for resources/refuge have found this place and build a city on it. In order to prevent that alien/human/hybrid activity create more heat that the ice shell could handle, they may use cold fusion (although is a very controversial subject, often listed as pseudoscience) in order to obtain the necessary energy for their daily needs (maybe this place could be only inhabited by Inuits walrus).
This could be a twist in the old myth about a world inside a planet ("Les mondes engloutis" someone? ;))

As several people posted, a visit to Hillys could be fantastic, so in that case we need ocean cities!!!
https://subseaworldnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/oce_img004.jpg

I like more this other concept since those "tentacles" are used to take advantage of ocean waves to generate energy:
https://www.inhabitat.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/australia-underwater.jpg

And talking about underwater cities the strange ruins from Yonaguni, Japan (man-made or not), could be another source of inspiration for BGE team:
http://www.die-japanreise.de/okinawa-inseln/photos/large/okinawa-tauchen-yonaguni-ruinen-gesteinstufen.jpeg

And what if we get cities underground? Like the one in Derinkuyu, Turkey:
https://sometimesinteresting.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/derinkuyu_map.jpg

Another great hideout for pirates or a haven for hybrids refugees:
http://www.andrewcollins.com/pics/Kaymakli%20Underground%20City.JPG

And for our most deep disbelief, we know now that there could be absolutely colossal crystals inside caves (Crystal Cave, Mexico):
https://ancient-code.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Crystal-Cave-1024x681.jpg

One more option for a quest to raid and explore huge treasures!

And there exists the possibility that planets similar to Saturn and Jupiter may have diamond rains

http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-24477667

And what if in our voyages we found a very ancient ruins, in some forgotten planet, that resembles hindu temples?
https://grahamhancock.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/dmisrab11_html_m37f99404.jpg

https://grahamhancock.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/dmisrab11_html_m6724fff7.jpg

Similar to the Balochistan Sphinx, India (although could an exceptional example of pareidolia).
What would we do then, if we found a place like this, in supposedly never explored sector? Are the man-animal gods real? Perhaps a plot twist ala Twilight Zone

The Salar of Uyuni, Bolivia could be a nice combo to Pamukkale, Turkey hot springs:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Taiwanese_Monk_at_the_Salar_of_Uyuni%2C_Bolivia.jp g/1280px-Taiwanese_Monk_at_the_Salar_of_Uyuni%2C_Bolivia.jp g

Maybe the home of hybrid pink flamingos!
https://livingnomads.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/salt-flat-flamingos-Travel-guide-Salar-de-Uyuni-Bolivia-8.jpg

About the termites mounds, would be fantastic if those are mixed with elements from Casa Batllˇ and Casa Mila, both from Spain. Maybe the residences of rich people in System 3 (hey! talking about systems, what about System 2? So far no info about it, if it exists)
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3Vj4f8k49eY/U5oOFz5KSrI/AAAAAAAAj9Q/qUCJHZlAHm0/s1600/gaudi-barcelona-Casa-Batll%C3%B3.jpg

Returning to proposed Angkor Wat + Hong Kong cyberpunk fusion, what if we throw in the mix Metropolis (1927 movie) and Gunung Padang, Indonesia?
http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/metropolis-01.jpg

Gunung Padang:
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GikvjFQWXSU/Vbu8Pox0X5I/AAAAAAAAEC8/U5b1__PgbSg/s1600/Gunung%2BPadang%2B-%2B2.jpg

http://static.panoramio.com/photos/large/51055995.jpg

These rectangular, hexagonal stones remain me of Giant's Causeway, Ireland and Nam Madol:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jOZCnJ27ij0/UCTxByK4VPI/AAAAAAAAD0o/7DCsSMyxZIg/s1600/Giant%E2%80%99s+Causeway,+Ireland+7.jpg

As I wrote before, the fascinating city of Ganesha that you guys show us in premiere trailer already have many elements that I'm proposing, but how about one more city to delight and amaze our pupils? One more wonder to explore and discover?

Talking about that unaltered patch of sea for 1000 years... what if we found a place where time was maintained also unaltered... or even more, like in Portal videogame there are gateways inside it, but instead of being transported from one place to another, these would be temporal gates that leads to another periods of time, in the past or in the future? Perhaps one place like this is the Moksha cosmic gate?

What if because of this the hybrids of the future become the gods from the past?
MIND BLOWN!!!

And finally, that image of Radio Cheeta remind me of a couple songs that perhaps would inspire you: Cosmos Theme and Intergalactic Radio Station, both by the one and only Vangelis.

Greetings space monkey program!

A bit while I've been into gaming and all but lately I haven't yet found a good one to feed my appetite (also I don't have a good spec of a pc anyway lol)
but seeing this one had me really going.
The first thing I saw is the mechanics of the spaceship on youtube and it reminds me of the anime Cowboy Bebop and yes I watch anime.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 caught my attention ever since and I started to look it all up and boost my enthusiasm more and more after watching the trailer and the team.

Well, I guess that's enough an introduction of this excited little primate hahaha.

Replying to this thread, as I was saying it reminds me of an anime and I would like seeing the atmosphere the anime gives. To describe it in general, I guess it's like a cyberpunk or steampunk like all in together. And if you're seeing this I would reccomend watching the anime so you get the idea hahahaha.

As a pirate I would really like to go like a bar to party with crewmates in game with fully interactive feature and/or events and such like players or npcs partying or even bargin in shooting some guys or fist fights (Guess it's some minor attraction of this massive world)

I can't really put it into words of what kind environment this is but maybe you guys that kind of gets the idea elaborate more.

To Michel Ancel and the rest of the awesome team behind "Beyond Good and Evil 2", I want to thank each of you for making what I think will be my favorite game of all time

I much want to see this game lift off like no game has gone before and will love to dedicate any support that may help that process.

I am a musician who makes various styles of music and I wish to donate my musical talent to this this game

This is one of many examples of music I've created for "Beyond Good and Evil 2"
- you can use this as template for your own music rescourses
- you could use this as a background song playing in some indian bar on the outskirts of some city
- you can use this song for what ever helps in the support of the game's development (menu music, loading music, space radio music, soundtrack music)

https://youtu.be/e3fVn5VQESY

If there is any musical soundtrack request that BGE2 team believe I have the ability to compose/produce for you please let me know

I am willing to be apart of productive team of the community that will support you we all can play the best game that we will ever play

Even if this just stays as charity I would be so honoured if I could please have a song somewhere( I don't care how insignificant) in your game from a fellow Space Monkeys crew

I forgot to add this in last post:

"...a still more glorious dawn awaits. Not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise. A morning filled with 400 billion suns..."
http://orig15.deviantart.net/47b2/f/2011/005/5/e/5e2e759b4577879a40064f6ddf59f204-d36ixjb.png

More likely the planetary systems we found are inside our galaxy, the Milky Way, so this picture only could be possible if we're able to travel outside of it. So let's twist things a little and let's make this possible, shall we? ;) Undoubtedly this would be a breathtaking view!

Or instead our Milky Way could be the Sombrero galaxy (personal favorite):
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7c/8e/61/7c8e618794aafe954d6d7304d1f20578.jpg

Since BGE team seems to be taking the trouble to create an accurate simulation of a planetary system, as we watched in the game engine video, probably you'll like to know the presence of a very singular system: TRAPPIST-1 (probably you already knew about it).

This planetary system it's located very close to our solar system, just 39.6 light-years, in the constellation of Aquarius. The real deal with it is:
1.- It have seven planets similar to our Earth, in size. Also probably all are rocky type.
2.- All of them are packed so close to their star, that the distance to the farthest planet it's much shorter than the distance of our Mercury from the Sun, so its more likely, if we could land in one of them, we could observe the rest of the planets much bigger than our Moon in the sky... probable something similar to last scene in premiere trailer.
3.- Its very likely many of them have liquid water.

https://img.purch.com/h/1400/aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcGFjZS5jb20vaW1hZ2VzL2kvMDAwLzA2My 8wMDIvb3JpZ2luYWwvdHJhcHBpc3QtMS1wbGFuZXQtb3JiaXRz LWRpYWdyYW0uanBnPzE0ODc3ODY0NDA=

https://img.purch.com/h/1400/aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcGFjZS5jb20vaW1hZ2VzL2kvMDAwLzA2Mi 85OTMvb3JpZ2luYWwvdHJhcHBpc3QtMS1wbGFuZXQtc3VyZmFj ZS5qcGc/MTQ4Nzc4MDEwMg==

Since it star its much cooler than our Sun, chances are these aren't scorched, barren planets, even more with the probable presence of liquid water.

Also since science as proven the existence of planetary systems of this type, the problem of traveling large distances is severely reduced and it help to avoid other troubles like communications. Also things could be more packed like asteroid belts, moons, comets, etc, etc, etc. I think it could be very helpful in the creation of planetary systems in BGE 2 engine... in the remote case you guys didn't knew about this.
It also allow to create a plausible network of mini-satellites that grant almost instant communication among worlds.

Just noticed that in the top left of the second image, just above the water there are two humand shaped shadows, the left one is bent as if they're pulling something out of the water and the other is standing upright.
Those look to me as they've been erased from the original piece but were left as shadows to tease.

" Spelljammer " can be a source of great inspiration.

Pirates in space, hybrid characters, animal inspired ship design.

My new environment I like to see an beautiful garden. Reminds me of the one from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. It is known as 🧝*♀️ Galadrielĺs Garden.

I loved Spelljammer when I was a kid, especially the old TSR/DC comic books. I still have almost the full run in my collection!

Alll of them have me really excited although a worry i have is that Macro will overtake the little details

that we will have all these places and cities only for the cities to be mostly empty with no places to go, just building for your ship to zip around them with notrhing to do in most of them

Well, its me again, couldn't resist to post more "sources of inspiration" :o

1.- Huayllay National Sanctuary, Peru and its "stone forest", filled with very curious shapes:

The Llama:

Cobra snake:

They call it the Elephant but to me looks more like an anteater:

2.- Stone Tree, Bolivia: this and other capricious forms could be found in planets/moons of outer solar systems
http://static.panoramio.com/photos/large/5564489.jpg

3.- I imagine hybrids having a market where to buy things like in the festivity of Alasitas, Bolivia, were people buy miniatures of all kind of stuff (from material things such as cars, houses, household items, electronics, to university diplomas, food and money even doll babies) in hope their desires become true by owning these items.

Before I forget here's some more!

1.- This extremely weird stone sliced like was a piece of bread, Yakushima, Japan
https://17447-presscdn-0-13-pagely.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Yakushima-9-1024x683.jpg

2.- And returning to the idea of this market for miniatures, there could be another section for ex-votos, in this case not for ask something but to show gratitude for something that was received.

This could lead to found some strange objects such as roman dodecahedrons, which still puzzles scientific community since they can't figure out their true purpose (amusement? decorative? instruments?)

This Alasitas festivity sounds really interesting. Are you supposed to get a miniature of the thing you desire? I understand miniature beer, but miniature Maizena? Funny! Thanks for sharing these, ElPrimordial!

Yeah, the whole idea is to buy a miniature of something you desire hoping that you'll get it later, in real life. This festivity is in honor of the tiwanakan god of abundance and prosperity, Ekeko.

I don't know if you already thought of this, but it would be awesome if you had villages in giant craters. Buildings on the crater walls and in the middle is the "main building" or a giant wrecked space ship. I also think it would be cool if your character grew hair and you had to get a hair cut or something. You also have to keep your ship up to date and take care of it and if you don't, it will get dirty inside and out. Some of you crew (depending on their personality) should be messy and you have to kick them out or discipline them. I don't know, these are just some different things that I thought of :p

Oh! This remind me that I read about a village in Germany that was actually built inside a crater!

ElPrimordial gave the perfect environments. I really would like to see the game go that way. To have a lot of different places. Places with temples, underground cities or villages, oceanic worlds, green tropical forests, some huge cities with high population density like in India. And of course places inspired by this historical beauties and treasures we have in our world with a new space like take on.

I actually hope the world might resemble places like in "Remember Me".

The game was such a strange mix of Sci-Fi and classic buildings.

Agreed, we can never have enough of rusty floating structures =P, and that mix between two styles can work very well if done right,
