I've replayed it about 10 times now with the same result every time. Oh ya just to clarify this is the PC version.

I uploaded a video to YouTube to show what the issue is.

I can't see the tube clip dude...

But I'm guessing the Spaniard goes like... puff and disappears? (When you try to execute an air assassination that is)

I solved it by tossing couple of the throwing knives at tosser and it worked.

Ya that was the issue I should have some throwing knifes but this should still be fixed.

Agreed.

I was like "WTF just happened?" when he magically "teleported" himself out of the game realm.
This is such a bug a team of tester should NOT miss in the first place.

Also, gun should work as well.

Have you tried just shooting him yet? (oddly enough it doesn't kill him. Guess we aren't allowed to break the plot. :P )

Keep in mind that's an early muzzle-loading firearm with a muzzle velocity that I can outrun, and Borgia is about the size & weight of a boat. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

True, but it kills everything else just fine. Even the big armored thug dudes (brutes? I dunno what they're called). >_> Must be pretty darn overweight if all that excess baggage acts as bulletproof armor. :P

I just reasoned that his papal robe is made out of adamantium or something.

Well, MY reason's more funnier. (Yes, that is a grammatically sound sentence) But yours makes more sense. I certainly wouldn't put it past the papal robe manufacturers make the Pope's robes bulletproof, if they could.

@ARandomKid

Well yeah it is indeed funnier http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I reasoned my reasoning because, well he himself wasn't hard so to speak, however, it took quite some time to accumulate damage upon him, so I thought "Damn, his shelf is harder than armor! that robe GOTTA be made of adamantium!" you know.

BTW is it just me or last part of it ala "Tekken Screed" section was just ridiculous?

I just thought of something; what if Ezio is the reason they decided to put bullet-proof glass all around the Popemobile? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

LOL

Then again, they really should stop having scaffold and stuff that makes place "assassin friendly" environment in the first place.

LOL, I also thought I was the only one this happened to!
WTF, pope's gone and each guard as well. Dream sequence or something?

After re-loading it worked though.

And yeah, I was also LOLing about the "assassin friendliness" of the place. In a more difficult game this would have been a total trap.

drfathertime

I first thought that animus glitched or something myself.

Yeah I was expecting a trap myself there, you know, like the dude who was standing down there was just decoy or something and Ezio is surrounded by those guards... guarding there.

When you think about it, it's kinda odd that even when the bug itself didn't occur, all the guards in the chapel are nowhere to be seen....

BTW if you are like me, you probably thought "notorious" posters placement a tad, weird as well http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I mean, c'mon, most of those posters were placed in such places NOONE but fellow assassins and thieves would see in the first place.
