One small, but fun part of today's Den some people might overlook, was a hint that there's easter eggs on the last 2 DLC maps, Market Town and Gauntlet that's yet to be found. 1 easter egg on each I believe.

So, why not try to band together and find them? Maybe the Devs will bless us with Steel or just a neat shoutout on the next Den. If nothing else, at least we can have some with it!

I've just tried perusing the Gauntlet map, but no luck. The other easter eggs in For Honor have usually been found in the environment, but I couldn't quite spot anything out of the ordinary in the landscape around the map.
For Honor doesn't really do a lot of easter eggs, so It's hard to tell what's meant to be one, and what isn't. The statue on C on High Fort for example, is a copy of an actual Viking statue in Denmark. In that vein, I found what I'm pretty sure is a copy of a runestone inscription and illustration behind the attackers spawn on Gauntlet on some busted barricade.

I'm also trying to decipher a variety of rune phrases found around the map, along with some pretty neat drawings.

No luck so far on my end, but I'll keep looking.

That's cool, good to know.

Semi unrelated, but I once found a "DANGER: 1337 volts" sign on a transformer on top of a building on a BF4 map. Think that's the only Easter Egg I've discovered..

Oh dude, Battlefield 3, 4 and 1 are all packed with easter eggs. You've probably found plenty in there, just haven't noticed them.

I managed to identify the runestone illustration I found, no idea if this is actually it, probably isn't, but still kinda neat.

I'd confused the illustration with some found on older, actual runestones made in the same art style, turns out this one is from a modern day runestone, http://www.runestonecarver.com/gallery/11i-vikingline.html

I never noticed this. Kudos for having such a good eye. This might indeed be the easter egg in Gauntlet.

I've given up on the runic inscriptions. I never actually thought they'd be the easter egg, but I'd be wanting to try and translate them since Season 1, looking for funny/hidden messages from the level designers. But as far as I can make out, the inscriptions in game are made out of at least 2-3 different runic alphabets, and appear largely random.

Nice find! I'm actually quite curious myself as to what the easter eggs might be. I'll definitely be looking to load up the maps and find out in my off time!

Crikey, they don't even tell you guys? So no chance we can get a small hint?

I did make a bit of progress; The Mortal Kombat easter egg on Sanctuary Bridge only appears in Duel mode, so whatever we're looking for might only appear in certain modes. Time of day doesn't appear to affect it though.
So I'll be trying Duel modes and work my way up.

It likely wouldn't be too hard for us to get that information, but where's the fun in that? ;)

Yeeah you're right. I've done a good number of Duels and Brawls on Gauntlet so far, but haven't spotted anything out of the ordinary. Yet.

That runestone image could be it though. All the other quirky runic inscriptions and drawings I've found all repeat across the map, they're just standard images the level designers can plaster on most surfaces it seems. But that red dragon doesn't appear anywhere else on the map.
There's also a really large, and very ornately decorated wooden gated near the Defenders spawn in Dominion. I can't make out if it's anything special though, but it looks very unique and detailed for just a gate...

The bell near the oracle shrine (during tribute) is nearly identical (minus some For Honor samurai embossings) to the Great Bell of the Chion-In Temple in Tokyo, Japan.

Thanks for the heads up samsnetwork! Eddie's confirmed that this is the Market Town easter egg. I actually found it last night, but as I've never seen that movie, nor am I well versed in Japanese culture, I had no idea what I was looking at.

But at least now we know that easter eggs can be environmental stuff, so Fred/Jurassic, could you guys ask Eddie if that runestone illustration i spotted is the other easter egg?
A Reddit user suggested it was an ourobos symbol found all over the Gauntlet, but Eddie didn't respond to that.

Eddie just dropped a hint for everyone on the Gauntlet Easter egg on Reddit. :)

Hey, just wanna say the EE in Gauntlet puts the egg in Easter egg. Best of luck! It's pretty well hidden and may not appear in all Weather locations

While you're here, I discovered a glitch in my easter egg search on Gauntlet.

There's a storehouse just opposite the C zone with a door in a dividing wall. Park your character up against it, face C and swivel the camera around, it'll clip clean through the door itself. The walls act solid, but the camera just goes through the door for some reason.
I think I'd read about other players encountering camera clipping issues as well, and maybe if the team could identify what door asset was used for that one, it could help solve those problems.

It's the structure in the lower left, you can only see the roof of it, with the bridge leading into it directly from C; https://ubistatic19-a.akamaihd.net/resource/en-us/game/forhonor/fh-game/fh_maps_the-gauntlet_desktop.jpg

Reddit user RO6OPENGUIN pointed out one of the runic inscriptions and drawings I tried translating; https://www.reddit.com/r/forhonor/comments/7twvop/possible_gauntlet_easter_egg_info_in_comments/

He's translated the runes as "For Honor". But I'm having trouble translating it exactly the same. Specifically, the "O" rune doesn't belong to any of the Viking or Anglo-Saxon runic alphabets, yet the rest of the inscription appears to be in the Younger Futhark alphabet. Oddly enough, the Elder Futhark rune for "O" appears on the wood beam just above the drawing.
I've even tried translating each rune painstakingly by individual letter, and tried several online converters, but I cannot get that "O" rune to line up with any runic alphabet used by the Vikings or Anglo-Saxons in the period around the Viking Age.

But besides all that, this particular inscription also appears all over the map itself.

So far, my best bid is still the red dragon.
