If you use a CRT monitor the monitor is cheap and better than any LCD out there for 3D.

However, the glasses are in a transition and i would suggest you wait for ATI's solution and other, cheaper manufacturers than Nvidia.

I have Edimensional's glasses with a CRT monitor and while it has potential, 3D is still not well supported and a bit of a gimmick.

Wait

Game in 3D must be written to display 3D. IL2 is not.
You want to pay for IL2 to be 3D then think million $ might be enough, or 10 million perhaps.

OTOH you can cross your eyes real hard and get twice the planes. Even get to fly two of them yourself.

well i wanted to try any game

and seems this time the force is with me:

i have red blue glasses and trackmania installed, its so cool

and before someone says it i just paly forty minutes a day in ten minutes intervals

edit:

oh and i can play cod4 true stereo and 3d http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

with the nvidia graphic driver you can have from 0 percent depth to 100% true depth, all you need is red blue glasses

i cant handle 100% depth but its a matter of rising it slowly as the software explains

Get yerself a copy of WinAmp (free) and set up the Milkdrop 3D visualizations. Run your favorite music
through that and see if you limit yourself to 10 minute intervals, LOL!.

You could try vuzix headmounted display. They're a bit tight but the native drivers (ie not nvidia's) for IL2 are spot on. They cost about 300 bucks or so (I was silly enough to have stomped on mine, so no further experiences on that score).

And those edimensional glasses are excellent.
