What are airbrakes and how do they work? During the game I will go into 3rd person mode and press my airbrake key, but nothing happens. I don't see any visible change in the aircraft itself to indicate something has happened. More importantly, I don't see any significant drop in speed either. What's the deal?

Try it on a stuka....

It's the only plane that has 'em. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Not all palnes have aribrakes...
Fly the Stuka... You use it in divebombings.
Without it the divebomber would go too fast and break apart.

Yeah, only the stuka has them, stops you from ramming your target when on dive bombing missions.

Airbrake is a nose-cannon on the Yak-9K /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The new "patched" sound engine is also an "airbrake". I haven't heard "air" since I've installed it! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
