In the early morning or New Year's Day, 1945, as the last great German offensive in the Ardennes slowly smoldered to an end, the Luftwaffe launched a suprise attack simultaneously on all the forward Allied tactical airfields.

Synchronized to strike at 0920 hrs.... Their objective was to reduce the effectivness of Allied fighter-bombers by destroying them on the ground.

At some bases the Luftwaffe attack is devastation... destroying aircraft and rendering airstrips useless.

At other fields only a few fighters find their targets... and damage was minimal.

But at Y-29 near Asch Belgium the result was... unlike anything the Luftwaffe had imangined.

Announcing the release of "The Legend of Y-29" Directors cut

Both movies - the low res wmv version and the higher res DiVX directors cut are now up on wiley's site

see them at http://pauke.ee.ethz.ch:8732/oberstguncam/Frameset/index2.htm

for now it's listed as newest on the front page, otherwise click on movies on the left and scroll down.

after paying an additional $40 in BW overages because of this project I want to make sure all of you understand just how generous and essential the help we get from Wiley, Michampa, Viper at VWC, and a few others is. without them very few of us would ever get to see any of theses.
