Seems to me like mid-October may be the intended release time period (Amazon and I think EBGames both have that up), but then the Christmas shopping madness in the United States (which is probably by far the largest PC game market in the world) starts around that time anyway http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

My guess is that they are shooting for a late October release date, but it will most likely slip to mid November. Expect a patch to follow sometime in late January due to the marketing boys rushing it out the door before it's really ready.

I'll be glad to buy it, bugs and all, if it's anything close to what FB/AEP is like. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And dont forget release date is US, everyone else has to wait. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/cry.gif

So add a couple of weeks depending on where you live.

Corporate time. Everything's corporate time.

I'm not as interested in the date as much as in the tech requirements.

"I'm not as interested in the date as much as in the tech requirements."

I doubt that the tech requirements will be significantly different than they are right now for FB/AEP. I have a 2.53 Ghz w/1Gig of RAM and an ATi 9700 Pro, and I find that if I try to run it with all the bells and whistles, it bogs down a little now and then. PF will have a better looking water model. I'm sure that it will be scalable just like it is now, so if you're running FB/AEP right now with "Perfect" settings, PF shouldn't be any problem at all.

I'd like to know what flyables we'll have.

I sure hope this get's released as bug free as possible.

They ought to throw us a B25 flyable bone for AEP... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Recon, unless you've read something different, I'm still under the impression that the flyable B-25s, along with the JU-88, will be released to AEP before PF ever hits the shelves. Oleg said this a long time ago, that the cockpits for those bombers would follow AEP's release by a couple of months. I would bet that we will have them in AEP by the end of the summer. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Well, Oleg has also said a couple of weeks back that work on the Pe-2, the Ju-88, the Italian aircraft (and probably a good few others) has been halted until they can get PF done and dusted, and out the door before X-Mas. The actual time frame was that work on these would be held off at least "until September".

To me that says, that by the end of September, PF should be done and in Ubi's hands for them to wreck it with whatever corporate krap they stick on top of it, and then release it.

I'm guessing, based on past performance from about 90% of the bigger releases over the last 3-4 years is that PF will be slated for a mid October release, and slowly but surely slip off a few weeks, and get released in the last week of November, or the first week of December (and of course, that's in the US!! Add 2 weeks for us in Europe, and who knows how long for everywhere else!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif ).

Now, in regard to AEP, I would say that an AEP specific patch will be made with whatever aircraft are missing like the Pe-2, Ju-88, hopefully the A-20 and B-25, and a couple choice others, along with the Italian aircraft, etc, and whatever pertinent bug fixes need done. This I would hope will be released before, or just around the PF release so that they can start working on whatever bugs are found in PF due to them rushing it out the door without being overworked doing these other AEP aircraft.

So, PF release I reckon late November/early December, AEP patch with bombers, etc around the same time, or a few weeks before (here's hoping http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ), with a PF patch released in late January/early February to fix whatever got fubared in the rushed release.

That would be my guess. (<-- please note I said guess - I don't actually know!!)

That's pretty much how I see it also Tooz. However, I hadn't read anything yet to indicate that Oleg was putting all those bombers on hold until PF is finished up. That's a new one on me. Bummer dude http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
