I just got my self a Saitek Cyborg 3D Platinum for my lunch times and after hours flying at work and the difference between that stick and my previous Logitech sticks (Wingman extreme and extreme 3d pro) is just amazing.
It feels exactly like my X45 at home (better actually since my x45 stick is builidng up centre spring resistance) and that for a measly 22 quid.

If you're on a budget, feel you are stalling all the time whilst other people are simply outflying you, try the Cyborg. It might just make a difference.
Basically you are getting pretty much the same quality as the X45 stick (not the best prehaps but for 22 quid you really can't complain)

With my x45 stick at home suffering from the centre spring I am considering replacing just the stick with a second Cyborg now.

ps I am not a saitek representative. Just a happy punter. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have a Cyborg Gold and like it a lot. Best LOOKING thing on my desk, actually.

A tad fragile for arcade-like games, however. But a fine choice for those on a budget.

Yeah funny enough, my Logetechs where great for arcadey games like BF 1942/vietnam. I simply cannot fly a helicopter in BF Vietnam with my X45. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Hmm, I had to take back 2 faulty Cyborg Platinums to the shop (1st had bad drift and the top was loose and the 2nd had a sticking throttle). I replaced them with the Saitek Evo and have been loving it ever since. I'm not saying the Cyborg's a bad stick (had the original Cyborg and a Gold) but I had nothing but problems with those Platinums.

ive used a cyborg b4, thought it felt a little flimsy, but then everything on it is adjustable aint it? plus, it has to get kudos for being the only truly left-handed able stick. least the old ones were, it would be a shame if they got rid of that feature

They still are left handed but so are the other Saitek joysticks such as the Evo and the X45. I think that the Platinum will be the last Cyborg made and that Saitek will move on to other designs. Just a gut feeling that I have, could be wrong though.
