Halo thar, I am having difficulties with Booming and Zooming on quick misson builder with german planes (fw and bf) agaisnt yak3 and la5fn-7. Could anyone possibly send me (or give me a link to site where it is) a .ntrk file showing german plane bmz russian plane (as i mentioned above) and actually killing it? The opponent must be average-ace (no rookies), game: full realism (speed bar and map allowed, if you want), not online game.

AND 1 ON 1!

I realy need help with this, i've read lots of tutorials and stuff like that but I still can't manage to do this.

Thanks in advance!

my aim: hexedneon

Hmmm. Tall order.

It's kind of difficult to get an AI fighter on QMB to cooperate on the BnZ. AI will almost always pursue you and deny you a good BnZ opportunity.

I've killed my share of AI aces in QMB, but usually by circular climbing and then pouncing from above when they stall or give up the pursuit. I wouldn't consider that a true BnZ.

Online, it's not so hard to BnZ because the target is usually fixated on another task or just not watching his six. An AI pilot, for some strange reason, always watches his six. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

It might sound silly or too easy, but BnZing a friendly plane on QMB is more like what happens online. Once you open up on them, they'll try to shake you.

No axactly, put some slow bombers in QMB to trick the AI. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If you fly online just find server with externals and record some of the fights. Or simply watch them. There are many talented folks out there.

Good point. I was thinking more one on one.

Also, you might try setting up a coop under FMB with an enemy boogy low and slow and you high and fast. Give yourself 1000-2000 meters alt advantage and position yourself about one kilometer behind them. Dive and watch 'em break.

In 1 vs 1 QMB against a fighter it's really hard to stricly "B&Z". Strict B&Z (IMO) is only used against heavies and pilots who are asleep.

This track demostrates a G2 vs La-5FN (ace) 1vs1 df, starting at 3000m. Unzip to the "Records" folder in FB installation directory.

http://sivusto.servepics.com/g2-vs-la5fnace-3000m.zip

Some points of note:
-My aim sucks. I get less than 5 hours of FB time weekly :-(
-Flaps seem to help in 1.11
-G2 (best of the bunch in the 1.11 109 family) overheats like crazy.
-My aim sucks.

The track contains these highlights:
-Against AI, build speed first. The stupid thing will dive and waste its E in a tight climbing turn.
-The AI always turns LEFT after the initial pass.
-Only fight in vertical in 109. Once in the track I try to turnfight... and once I _stall_ (I'm drunk right now, forgive me ;-) really, I suck).
-The La-5FN can take lots of hits. It's easy to flame from below (according to QMB) but this track demostrates a direct 20mm hit from 85degree deflection to the engine block, NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. So get a PK, detach wing, or shoot from below.
-I use externals once to demonstrate my "camouflage." High coolness factor IMO but quite visible against ground ;-)

PS. TrackIR used for views.

Here's a track I made.

1000mt, no advantage
Map: Moscow
100% fuel
109 K4 vs 4 Yak3 Ace

full real no speedbar.

Only exception to full dull, after shooting 3 Yaks I didn't remember how many Yaks I killed, since I damaged one, so I went ctrl+F2 just to see if there was one alive, without determining its position. Then I searched for it.

but I have to agree, the real challenge is online http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Try PM'ing DKM and ask him for a BnZ track file. He sent me one although my computer went FUBAR so I've lost everything. To include all of my tracks, my campaigns, my maps...ugh the agony!

On another note the BnZ is much like a vertical figure 8. You dive down to where they are flying to, and fire as they fly through your guns. You then climb back straight up looking out of the top of the cockpit to watch them. When your airspeed bleeds off at the top. Pull over, and roll level and dive on them again.
Set the AI to have no ammo, and they will cooperate for practice. However it still has taken me hours of online play to make the BnZ work.
