Just curious, I know why people main this character and wear this ornament, but I never hear reasons on why people join their factions.

Lay it on me lol

Been a Knight ever since I started For Honor, never ever switched Factions since. I initially bought For Honor for the knight characters, Warden in particular. Plus, a crest emblem. I have a thing for crests.

Samurai since beta baby. I've always liked the reserved nature of Samurai warriors and the short little Faction bio appealed to me. They've basically been minding their own business in the Myre for decades but war eventually came to their lands and they mounted a defense to protect their home. The Samurai houses all came together despite their own personal squabbles (more or less) and like a dragon that has been awoken from slumber they entered the fray as a fearsome force.

I also took a real liking to Orochi - then called Oni - and later on to the Kensei. From then I knew it was going to be a Samurai's life for me :)

I am a big fan of Musou games played them ever since I was a child. (If you don't know what Musou is, it's Japanesee for the Koei Tecmo Warriors franchise, one being Dynasty Warriors set in Ancient China and the other Samurai Warriors is based on Sengoku "Warring States" era with famous people like Oda Nobunaga in it.) I like both but Samurai Warriors had much cooler weapons and a slightly better story.

When I knew For Honor had the Samurai in it, nothing was going to stop me from joining them. So I played in alphas, open and closed betas just to get my hands on the them.

And then I saw Nobushi, a Naginata wielder. A weapon that doesn't get enough play in Western games and that was icing on the cake. :D

I also like the way they were portrayed in this game, quiet and calm the smallest of the 3 factions, standing their ground and defending the Myre.

Also there are alot of cool looking Samurai maps in the Campaign, the dueling arena where you fought the Samurai general
When you were siege the beaches of the Samurai shores with the Viking how vast and intricate the layout was, I think that was the first time you were introduced to the zipline. And the myre where you were the Valkyrie and saw cool waterfalls, shrines, a fort, a dock, there was alot in that area.

I saw Shugoki and his stupid-big kanabo, and in that moment I knew my faction. :)

I saw Shugoki and his stupid-big kanabo, and in that moment I knew my faction. :)

I'm starting to like him, he's real tanky, and a few reps in and he starts to look like a real demon. Very menacing. I got to really test him during the Open Test and leveled him to level 18. By far the most intimidating character in the game. I think I'll make him my secondary should I fail to get used to Highlander.

Vikings from the very start, and will never change. I remember seeing the campaign gameplay mission trailer of the Vikings embarking on Thr Great Raid onto the Samurai shores and knew I had to play that. Nothing gets the blood going like pillaging villages and hoarding riches. Also the Viking culture, history and religion is far more interesting to me than Samurai, or Knights.

I am a Norse pagan so choosing a faction was a no brainer for me.

Vikings, it was never even a question for me. Big axes, hot blondes and feisty redheads. Also we have the best music.

At 2:00 was that a 200ms zone guitar rip? I demand a nerf, that's too unfair.

Also, that bone microphone ornament is Season 8, isn't out yet, YOU'RE SPOILING THE GAME

For real though. I laughed hard. Thanks for sharing this ahahahh

I joined cause it was a game my son wanted. As an old school gamer that grew up playing MK and Tekken, I wanted an outlet to where we could bond. I got to where I enjoyed the game but then the more I played it, the more I realized it is a hot steamy mess. With every new patch or character, the game has gotten more and more unbalanced, idiotic and full of glitches. I curse the day I bought this game. Again. Last Ubisucks game that I ever own.
