http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif Got a joystick (Cyborg EVO...thought I was going to change it later for X45, but I think I'm going to keep it now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) and fired up a Soviet Shturmovik campaign...well, on the first mission, we were to blast a train close to the frontline...of course, the location was right damn next to a German forward airbase. As we were coming in I was already getting radio messages from people who were getting shot down, so I knew it wasn't going to be good. When the leader ordered to begin the attack run, I've got a pretty good (almost head-on) angle at the train and was about to launch the rockets...but...I pressed button for weapon #4 instead, completely forgetting that in Il-2 rockets are on #3! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif Three seconds later, right as I was passing over the train, a Bf-109 shot my plane to pieces and I crashed. I would've probably died anyway, but at least it wouldn't be in such an idiotic manner. To top it off, while pressing Cntrl-E with one hand, I hit the Windows button and it took me about 15minutes to reload the game, by which time I was a smoldering crater http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif I managed to survive that suicide mission on second attempt, though my plane was lost and the other two pilots in the flight were lost.

Anyway, here comes a question...is there any reliable way to tell which payloads are assigned to which #? I keep getting them confused (particularly with bombs of different weight).

#1: Machine Guns
#2: Cannon
#3: Rockets
#4: Bombs
I don't belive that you can control which weapons (if there are more that one type in one classification) will be fired, but it is generally biggest to smallest [with ordinance].

As an example, in CR42 50kg bombs are dropped with #3, but 100kg with #4. I don't really get the point of that, though, since the plane can only carry two bombs of one type...
