Ok, so we have to wait until the end of May before this classic comes out on R2 DVD, but at least it's on the way. About time those of us in Britain got a release of this, can't believe it made Region 1 NTSC over a year ago.

Some good news at last on the execellent Battle of Britain film!!!
But I bet the region 2 DVD won't be at the current $11 price as the region 1 DVD. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I think that Piece of Cake is way better than Battle of Britain, simply in terms of storytelling. BoB lacks a "red line" through the movie. Flying bit is excellent, but characters and story is quite bleek. Moggy in Piece of Cake is one friggin cool dude!!

And the scene where MH 484 flies under the bridge is unforgettable! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I think the book is even better than the film\series.It's a shame they couldn't use Hurricanes as the book had, but it's understandable given the lack of flyable Hurricanes left.
As you've probably guessed the book is where i got my online nickname from, it's my favourite book.

Now I see you call yourself Moggy. Actually, I thought of that as well! I haven't read the book, but I can imagine it's better than the movie, since books ofter are. Yes, the lack of Hurricanes is unfortunate, but there are a few flying around. What is worse, they use Spit Mk IX and pretend it's a Mk I, and than they send them to France. We all know that no Spits were based in France during Phoney War/Battle of France... But, still it's better than Merlin engined Bf 109s (Hispanos).

Hack or chip your current DVD player to "All regions" most of them can be. Search the internet. If not buy yourself an "All regions" player. I buy most of my DVD's on-line from the U.S. They are cheaper, have more extras and a bigger choice.

Oh! did I mention that my brother in law was the lead camera operator on BoB. Spent most of his time in a highly modified B-25 for the air-air shots and didn't enjoy the experience! His name is Bob too!

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

This site shows you how to use your remote control to reprogram most DVD players to play DVDs from other regions.
