they look great thunak, Is there anyway in the furture that BOB and il2fb shots will be in different seperate categories or pages, even tho they are labeled BOB and AEP? Its very confusing the way it is now many people think we are getting the BOB models in FB which isnt the case.

The p38 on the coast is to nice looking.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the horizontally mounted rockets on the P38, and the Xmas tree style rockets? Looks like that dog will hunt! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

The 14 rockets was a test configuration only on a P-38L and not adopted for service use. It would be nice if 1C would stick to historical loadouts that saw combat, like 6 500lb bombs.

S. All Gents!
What a great ground models. It make me think (dream)... Does it means that it gonna be possible to "walk around" in BOB? Hope so!

Wow, excellent stuff. Remind me to pass up the offer of a ride in the ambulance though - look what happens to it on a bumpy road. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Also, nothing for a month then a patch, news from Oleg and an update all together - that's more like it!

Cheers!

The P-38 looks like it'll be a great plane to have some fun with. Gibbage also modeled the HVAR "trees" so we should have that armament option as well.

I think there was even a .50 cal gunpod that was also used in combat that will be available. This should put the P-38 up there as an excellent strike aircraft as well as fighter. Good thing that the Luftwaffe is getting a Bf 110G-2 to complement these excellent attack aircraft with a potent attack weapon as well (has anyone looked at the HUGE number of armament options available for the G-2!?!).

What the!? A G0-229? But they never flew!
Is there going to be some kind of `what if` Campaign? Does the war go into 1946 or something. Will it be part of the singleplayer Campaign as well as online?

Oh yes it did. Sort of.

'The first flight was made in Oranienburg on February 2nd, 1945. The test pilot was Erwin Ziller. It showed reportedly very good handling qualities, with only a shade of lateral instability (as we know today a typical deficiency of tailless aircraft). The second fight itself was equally successful, but the undercarriage was damaged by the brake parachute during landing. Two weeks later, on the third flight a disaster struck. Ziller took off as before to perform flight tests, when at 800m one of the engines stopped. The pilot was in control of the situation and pushed the aircraft into a shallow dive to help re-start the engine. Suddenly at 400 meters undercarriage retracted, after which the aircraft lost speed and went out of control. Erwin Ziller was killed in the following crash, and the prototype completely destroyed.'

I lifted that bit of info from the link in the first post in this thread:

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=781107461

A bit like the BI-1, almost made it but not quite. Go229 will be interesting I reckon.

Cheers!
