Am reading Zero fighter Martin Caiden
Weapons book #9

It talks of the flight training for the
Formosato to Philippines missions to clark and Nichols fields.
1100 to 1200 miles distance
Dropped fuel use from 35 to 18gal per hour
Fuel load 182 gals
cruised at 115 knots ,12000 feet
Lowered propeller revolutions to 1700- 1850 rpm
Eased off on the air control value to the leanest mixture.
Saburo Sakai was involved
Anyone trid this?

Not with the zero. But in FB I used the CR.42 to fly a 560km round trip flight. Could not make it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

The Falco has a range of 780km http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif

Fuel consuption is not a priority with FB. Hopefully in PF it will be realistic
