is it at all possible to model kamikaze missions at all?

because it seems to be an important tactic the japanese used in the latter stages of war, and i doubt that it has been modelled in any other sim.

if its not possible, fair enough but if it is it would be nice if it was implemented.

Pacific Theatre? What makes you think that? If you've seen a couple of aeroplanes in the development updates, it doesn't mean it will happen. The aircraft might not even make it to a patch. Besides, the typical map size in FB is not large enough to accommodate the Pacific maps.

Pacific?

Hopefully not ... I'm hoping for this one:

*sigh* wouldn't that be nice?

it does look like there might be one, all i am saying is that its a feature thats historical, and it would be cool if implemented

Well, it would be nice to get something different, but I think something like that would be saved for a new commercial package.

i spose but that does seem more and more likely, considering the amount of development going on

Well, just in case people forgot.... The Russians did fight the Japanese... it wasn't on a scale like the US and Britain fought them, but they did do it, so it would be possible to do a Soviet/Japanese front using the planes currently being produced.
Plus the maps wouldn't be huge like the eastern pacific battles were. The Vladivostok area and some other areas further west would provide some very nice mountain terrain and be something completely new to the Combat Sim world....
And it would fit into the whole "Forgotten Battles" theme of this game.
It would be interesting and something new for us History Geeks to try and find information on.

Fighting as a Samurai.
Die the Kamikaze Way.

1. Find your target
2. Direct plane straight into the enemy's tail
3. Press trigger, let the tracers be your guide
4. Full throttle
5. Shout 'BANZAI!' as your smack your plane into the enemy

MISSION DONE.

Im looking forward to the pacific pearl harbor to the surrender of japan and japans invasion of china. SO many more interesting and new a/c

north africa ZZZZzz flatest sand plains same colored terrain and same planes basically. NA maps should be so easily made and should be a free upgrade. We have most the planes already. The new dirt dust from propwash would look good. I would get bored of NA in a couple days just because of the terrain.

Now the pacific, crytal blue waters, reefs, carrier landings, palm trees, the hawaiian islands volcanic mountains japans sunsets and sunrises, guada canal, solomon islands jungle runways philipeans, burmese and chinas runways with the avg. NOW THAT IS WHAT IM HOPING FOR much more then flat sand desert http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Its nice to see the Japanese Zero at the fore front of the Aircraft Development Pics posted each week.
The interest that will Generate in the Japanese American and Pacific Area may be just the shot in the arm FB needs.

I reckon if that helps sell even more copies of FB world Wide, then GOOD !

It justifies all the work put into the modeling of these land mark and Historical Aircraft, and just reward for a hard working Oleg and Team, who where inovative enough to produce a flight Sim of this Quality in the first place.
