Death comes to us all in the end. Honour their memory and they will live for ever through history.

I would love to talk to these old pilots who fought in the "big one".

Next time a combat veteran "drones on",do not turn a deaf ear,but listen, and I do mean LISTEN.

These guys have been through hell. There nationality is irrevelant.

Having served in the U.S Army in Germany,I have had the opportunity to listen to vets from all sides who fought in the 40's.Thier "war stories" really opened my eyes to what I was training to face, but gladly never had to.

I would like to add that my father once told me that "we are standing on the shoulders of our ancesters".

We must respect our elders, veterans or not.
For they are truly the ones who had "been there, done that".

In short, remember these great pilots!Alot of them belong to history now,as life is not eternal.

Well I guess there are fewer & fewer of them as time goes by. This is why it's important to hear their stories before it's too late. Let's S! him. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

RIP, we all owe everything we have to the efforts of him, and all his fellow allied fighter and bomber pilots and Aircrew.
