What improvements where added to the Hurricane when it came to the Soviet air forces?

During the 1940:s the Hurri pilot where poorly protected but in this game the pilotseat seems to stop all 7-mm projectiles, and the fuselage and wings of the hurricane seems to be as endurable as if it was build by this fantastic Delta-wood.

No 1 Squadron during the Battle of France started adding seat armour recovered from crashed Blenheims to their Hurricanes. This was contrary to Air Ministry orders who viewed the adding of armour to be a cowardly act. Once they saw how effective seat armour was, it became standard practice to fit fighters with seat armour.
During a recent programme on TV, No 1 Squadron pilot Billy Drake's crashed Hurricane was discovered. Although he was wounded in the encounter with the Dornier bombers he survived. Interestingly enough, his back armour stopped a small calibre machine gun bullet which if it had been a mere inch higher (or if he had no seat armour) would of killed Drake.

That must have been a very interesting program.
When was the armoured seat standard on the gladiators, hurricanes and the Spitfires, and how was the protection for the pilot in other directions.
What is the cylindershaped cooling gadget that is beside the radiator on the spitfire?
The oilcooler is the small on under the engine, isnt it?

Correct p1ngu666,

Small intake underneath the engine is for the carburettor air intake and the cylindrical intake under port wing is the oil cooler fairing.

In that case I dont think it is included in the damagemodel. I have scoored some hits in it and no visible effectt.
The engine starts to smoke after some hits and that is as it should be, I think.
I am waiting for the inclusion of the radiators in the damagemodel.
