View Full Version : My PF OPTIONS Wish List

WISH LIST
1) AIR STARTS: Provide an option in the FMB that allows air starts at some bases and not others.
2) RAMMING: Provide an option where bombers will not be damaged when rammed by a fighter.
3) EXTERNAL VIEWS: Provide an option where bombers have access to the external views of their aircraft only.
4) AIR BASE PLACEMENT: Provide an option in the FMB that allows you to place an airfield anywhere.
5) TAXI: Provide an option where externals views of their aircraft only while their aircraft is on the ground.
6) LOAD OUTS: Provide an option in the FMB to limit the load outs per aircraft.
7) MARKINGS: Provide an option in the FMB to limit the country markings per aircraft per side.
8) NO COCKPIT VIEW: Provide an option for AI aircraft to use the WONDER WOMAN VIEW (WWV) as their standard view.
9) COPILOT: Allow you jump (C) to the co-pilot seat on planes that had co-pilot seats when the pilot is killed

REASONING
Not that one needs to justify OPTIONS in that it is up to the user, but I know some noob is going to give some reason why these options should not be added. Therefore here is the reasoning behind my requests.
1) The idea is to promote more BOMBERS by allowing them to start in the air and not have to climb for 30min.
2) The idea is to promote more BOMBERS by ensuring they wont waist a 30min flight to target only to be rammed by some noob.
3) The idea is to make up for the lack of a navigator that would be watching while your flying
4) The idea is we have some cool maps, but, the air base placement is not allays the best for the mission you want to build.
5) The idea is in RL you would have a ground guide, so enable externals until your airborne so you don't run into someone.
6) The idea is to limit some of the bomb types used to better tailor a mission.
7) The idea is to ensure a P51 does NOT have Lw markings when flying on the red side.
8) The idea is when externals are disabled we can still use AI planes via the WWV in that AI don't have their own cockpit.
9) The idea is if your pilot is killed in a B25 you still have a co-pilot, not to mention engineer that can fly.

Plus the Ju-88 coming sometime in the near future! I think I like every option there except for the 'no ramming'. That feels very artificial. I still have no idea why ramming happens...I actually don't see it very often. If you're real competitive than ramming a bomber doesn't net you any points. I must say that I've accidentally hit bombers in high speed passes by misjudging or breaking away too late. Some of those times the bomber survived continuing on while I lost a wing. I understand the reasoning but I feel it be very artificial.

The rest I absolutely agree with. Co-pilot switching rocks too.

A lot more then they would have taking had you broke off sooner so not to ram them.

The Betty looks pretty good on todays update.
As to the bombers . When I am playing and flying them I will believe.
Till then I wait.
Still waiting for the PE-2.

I'd like the skill setting influencing the gunner skill for AI planes, and a skill setting for AAA in FMB.
