The IL-10 could do 342mph (551kph) at 9,186ft (2800m). Designed and developed in 1943, from lessons learned with the IL-2 type 3. Was first off the production lines in October, 44, but this was in limited in numbers, so not to interfere with output of the proven IL-2. Armament was generally the same, but it had two bomb bays, instead of the IL-2's four. The 108th Guards started converting to it during October, but first saw combat on 2nd February, 45. Most were with the 2nd & 16th Air Armies, which meant operations over Berlin and Czechoslavakia. Hence the blond knights (Hartmann) kill. By VE Day, 466 had been built, of which only about 100 were in service. Saw a lot more action against the Japanese and in the early part of the Korean war. Hope this is useful.
