Online since the patch was release I have noticed that 90% of those who fly the MKIX Spitfire fly the HF rather than any other model. This is kinda weird because most of the dogfighting takes place at very low altitude. Is there something I don't know? Does it handle better than the others? Personally I use the MKIXe but I have tried the HF and I have noticed very little if any difference in performance. I know the HF is designed for high alt, but does it make a difference using it instead of the other models even when in low altitudes? There must be a reason why people choose the HF...can someone fill me in? Perhaps someone could tell me which Spit MkIX has the best climb/speed/turn etc.

I don't know...

I fly the IXc and the clipped IXc alot and sometimes the IXe to mix things up but I've never actually flown the HF and I'm not sure why people do.

Someone online yesterday told me he flew it because an Ace in WWII, (sorry to offend the history buffs here, but I know nothing about WWII pilots) Johnny somethingorother flew a MkIXe HF. This surely can't be the only reason?

I'm afraid p1 is correct ....

... last in list must be latest and therefore best.

Personally, I prefer the IXc

I've given up correcting my own spelling
Unless I've corrected it here

I would say that it was people perceive.

Actually James Johnson flew a whole series of Marks prior to the Ix.

I like the Ixe (none clipped wing).
