So, every time I load up the game and go through the opening credits, to the point where it says "Checking for additional content.." it crashes. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
Specs: NVIDIA GeForce 940m and Intel i7
OS: Win 10

don't know what is going on, but i've played for a few hours with no ctd's. sounds like it might be something on your end? i'll search around and see if i can find anything. regardless, good luck.

I fixed this crashing problem, but does anyone know how I can improve my FPS?

Out of curiosity, how did you fix the crash on "checking for additional content" crash? It's driving me insane. I literally can't start the game, it crashes at this stage *every* time.

You can also try basic PC troubleshooting (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/faqs/000025513/General-PC-Troubleshooting). Creating a ticket like cawatrooper9 suggested is also a great step, and attaching MSINFO and DXDIAG files (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/Details/kA030000000emSbCAI?name=how-to-submit-dxdiag-and-msinfo-files) can help us troubleshoot with you.
