how do you land the KI-43?? Ive tried 6 attempts now and she just noses over. I am pretty proud of my landings on all of the other planes. I dont even have troubles in the ME 262 or the FW 190. what am i doing wrong?

I approach from a few miles out at 500m alt. at a speed of around 300 at the start of approach.

I lower flaps slowly and increase prop pitch and throttle. to keep my speed above 230.

I slowly lower the stick setting it on a smooth glide path.

I keep speed at or above 190 and aim for the beginning of the runway. at about the distance of the legth of the runway and a half i start my flair and set the nose inline with the end of the runway .

at this point my alt is 50ish. then by the time I reach the biggining few yards of the run way my front wheels touch the run way, at this point she is noseing down more than the other planes so I close the throttle and raise flaps. it seems to work and then its like my brakes catch and she takes a digger.?

I have tried a slower approach and this bird is very unstable below 180 VERY UNSTABLE!! this plane doesnt handle quite like any of the others, and that to me seems like it is supposed to act like this and not a faulty FM issue. any tips??

ahh its a crap plane anyway!!!

question: did you try lower landing speeds.

question 2: What's a Ki43? I've flown the ki84 but not the ki43 you krrp talking about.

I'm a crappy pilot, but one hell of a shot.

The JAAF/IJN is extremly easy to land and start. To land the Ki-84 I approach with 130-150kphIAS, flaps fully extended. The A6M5a with about 90-100kphIAS.

First off make sure you in a server that has the Ki and that it has no P51.. Because if there are P51 in there the Ki wont have a chance of even trying to land ! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I have a bad habit of coming in above the glide slope and fast. I usually touch the tarmac at about 300+kph. Never had much trouble landing it.

That's fast! Guess it's good we don't have to answer to the mechanics after our flights.

But full flaps and speed 10 percent above stall and just before touching the ground start flaring and you should be able to make a perfect three-point landing.

I guessed you already know you used wrong plane but if it was exact Ki-43 in FB then it should had short lenghted landing even short lenghted take off.

Not necessarily. If an aircraft is very nose heavy, then it can end up with a very long anding run, even if the aircraft is very light.

Yaks had this problem quite a bit.
