New 9800 user, using 4.1 cats. Any suggestions? P4 3.0ghz 1 gig ram, 9800 pro.

Running 1600x1200x32 2x aa 4x af, FPS is about 35 in pit . I think I should be getting more performance.

Is there any way to turn of AA with the 9800?

At that resolution, those FPS are pretty good. You can turn off AA by checking application preference in the ATI control panel. The Cat4.1 are good drivers. I haven't really seen much difference in Lomac with any of the last few versions, though it's somewhat system specific. I like the 4.6 best, personally.

Yes sir:

I've tried the 4.2's; 4.3's; 4.6's and still, the 4.1's work best on my system; best frame rates and most stable,ie. no flashing triangles, etc. I emphasize the words "my system."

Although I always run in "Excellent" mode, I have run the 4.1's in Perfect and they seem alright.

From reading the posts, I see that a lot prefer the 4.2's and that they are good drivers too.

Good Luck
