I use 1024x768 often, but 800x600 is easier online. I run FS2004 at 1280x1024, I wish IL2 was smoother at that resolution.

1024x768. But that has to do with frequency on my monitor. Have tried it with no probs at 1200x1024, but i'd get blind after 30 minutes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif. Time for a new monitor, perhaps?

Altough my system can't handle greater resolutions, it is also easier to spot enemies with smaller resolutions

1024*769 with perfect settings, 1280*1024 in high... prefer the latter as my lcd monitor has native res of 1280*1024....

on a asus a7n8xdlx, amd xp2500 barton, 1024mb ram, gf4 ti4400 --- really need a new gpu to get perfect mode going in 1280 :=) But even in 1024 i get those annoying microstutters form time to time... dammit....

Although 1600x1200 looks fantastic, the fps just drops to low over the cities. I gotta stay over 30 or I ain't happy.

FPS is a bit too low in perfect with AA, and having tried it I now can't stand not having AA.

Trying to get IL-2 to run on Linux but not having much luck, getting Java errors after entering the main menu (can't go anywhere besides main menu) under Fedora Linux+WINE kernel 2.4. Operation Flashpoint runs great under linux. Will try to get HyperLobby working this weekend.

How do you get the option for 1280 X 1024...I know my monitor can take it, and my card certainly can as well...but the highest option I have is 1280 X 960...what gives?

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
