Greetings,

Got CH rudder pedals for only $30 total price and was feeling sorry for those guys who paid $90-$100 for what I thought was the same thing. The difference between two sets of pedals is in the interface. My set is using old game port interface and was designed for Windows 95. I have to RMA my pedals unless someone knows the way to get them work with Windows XP.

nope, as far as i know it cant be done. i have the same configuration and FB recognizes the pedals as the number 1 controller so you have to setup the HOTAS in the FB control panel for your flight stick and then setup the views for your hats. very much of an hassle i must say, and you cant setup the sensitivity either. very gay

Hi Cossack_UA! Some people say it cant be done but...I use USB CH Combat Stick and USB CH Pro Throttle with GAMEPORT CH Pro Pedals in WinXP with no problems. Its works great. Email me if you decide to keep and want setup details whurst1@bellsouth.net

Yes I have Gameport CH pedals running with an MSFFB2 on XP. I had a problem with the order of the controllers. To fix I just removed the CH pedals (and the 'dummy' stick I have to use with them) from the menu and plugged in the MSFFB2 first. Then I plugged the pedals/stick in and then they were ID2.

Then the problem with the centering. Both gameport CH pedals I tested would not centre in the Game Controllers menu in windows. For some reason there is no way to tell Windows where the middle is for these pedals either. Fix is to not press the pedal all the way (the right one I think) when calibrating in Windows. This is then tested directly in Il2 by visually looking at the rudder sitting on the ground or whatever. Keep trying with varying amounts of right pedal in the calibration until it is centred in the game.

Once done it seems to be pretty stable and I haven't had any issues.

I got frustrated with this issue as well, so I just cut and spliced them to replace the rocker switch in my X45. Works like a champ, and no more gameport...

Leadspitter, are you saying that the gameport pedals with that device will be recongnized the same as pure usb pedals?

So what if its slow and it can't climb for crap... http://server5.uploadit.org/files2/050104-new1.JPG

leadspitter I tried what is probably the same converter (off a logitech USB stick) and the CH pedals weren't recognized - trying a number of different controller scenarios.... did you try the radio shack converter?

It would be handy if it works

The converter off a logitec stick doesn't work on pedals, but the radio shack one definately does work.

I have CH gameport pedals working fine in XP. But then I have a gameport CH stick too, I guess you're talking about trying to run gameport pedals with a USB stick? I'll shut up now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The two options mentioned here that I know others have got to work are the RadioShack Gameport/USB adapter and the "splice it into your existing rudder axis on your joystick" methods. The latter requires a modicum of technical ability though....
