I just ordered my tickets and pit passes online (www.airrace.org (http://www.airrace.org)) for the 16-19 Sept event. Anyone else planning to make it?

I've gone every year for the last 16 years but unfortunately will not this year due to unforseen circumstances. It's a great show, I know you will enjoy and always remember.

I really want to go. My father used to go all the time because our friend [ex-WW2 pilot] used to race every year. He was the oldest guy out there turning laps! I hope i can pull it off with work and distance. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

not this year but reno is is my vacation plans within a few years, am lucky enough to be able to watch it on speed vision when they broadcast it, enjoy the trip, i imagine seeing the unlimited gold race in person will be fantastic, if you can, buy, beg, borrow or steal a high quality camera of at least five megapixels!

Two of the things-to-do-in-my-life on my list are:

1. Get Married
2. Get to the Reno Air Races.

I don't know in wich order http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Have a good time!!

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again.

Placed 3rd, with team, in the official european championship Il-2/FB

get married at reno
yes lots of pics needed. i will provide web hosting so everyone can see them.

if ur going to buy a camera, and want in air shots, u need plenty of optical zoom, forget digital zoom its USELESS 99% of the time
a "normal" digi cam is fine for reasonably close stuff thats static

oh, and secret of good photography is LOTS of pics http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

enjoy u lucky guy http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Sorry for the delay in replying, I was away for a few days. If anyone does end up going, let me know. I will be there all 4 days.

Yes, I have an exeptional digital camera and will be happy to photo document the event the best I can. P1ng666, since it is unlikely that I will have time to sort out (likely to be well over 1000), and post the good images I would very much appreciate your help.

I will be there. My dad is good friends with Mike Brown who owns the racing team which flys the Seafury "September Pops" and the F7F "Big Bossman". Now if i can only get a ride in that F7F....hmmm. See you all in the pits!
