View Full Version : How many people use the controls of the forum to boost their post count unrealistically?

I'm just trying to figure out who are the posters, and who are the trolls. (for a book I am writing)

---
There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who can count in binary, and those who can't.
(If I knew who said that first, I'd give credit here.)

Jeez, with a title like that, who wants to risk posting? You've got a good point tho.. I've seen threads where 80% of the posts are ridiculous. One-liners, incoherent ramblings, and remarks completely off the topic of the thread. Why don't they just get rid of the post count? What's the point? I cleared out my cache, cookies, and all that other stuff, now I'm right back to the beginning. But who cares, really?

I do!

I find the post count very informative. Surely the higher the post-count, then the higher the level of information one can expect from the poster.
So if I attain a really high count then people will think I'm really knowledgable!

ps. If you actually believe any of that... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

When you could run scripts on these boards it was possible to overwrite your post-count.

Which is what I did, like this:

Not sure what you mean by "the controls of the forum", though. I don't remember seeing anything like that

Edit: Duh! I get it now, you're spoofing you-know-who. Oh, dopey me!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

With my post count, you'll find it hard to believe that I don't care about post count, but it's true.

I was going to change my name to prove it once, but I like Buzz.

Take away the post counts, and you won't hear a peep from me.

Which is his point exactly.

No post counter,, Buzzu no post.

I'm surprised you took the time to put down more than
one line in this post....

What's your point pig slop? One liners get the point across. Don't they? When you talk to people in person. Do you always talk in long paragraphs?

Couldnt typing be interpreted as a form of sign language? After all, it involves intricate movements of the hands and fingers!

The only reason I lurk on this forums is to gather info and to prevent some troll to spread around his lies and fantasies regarding aircraft controls.
