Just FYI, beta testing is a LOT of work. Multiple hours a day, multiple days a week. You might get sick of the changes long before it is done. You also play by their rules, look at and report on what they tell you to. I have not done this for 1C but I have before and I was glad to but I had the time to spare back then.

Be careful what you ask and check for commitment required. There will also very likely be an NDA to sign and fax back in for legal purposes. It is serious business.

From previous experience beta testing apps/games - it is a lot less interesting than it sounds. It's fun to play with new features, but a great deal of an ideal beta testers work is incredibly boring and repetative testing of things over and over and over again between revisions, checking what the help file says something should do vs what actually happens when you do it, bla bla. You would be amazed at how sick you can get of even a good game after having done the same tests in 3 or 4 or 5 [21 22 23..] different betas/release candidates, or how the best maps can become your own personal prison after spending long enough looking for HOM/unjoined floors & walls, etc.

Personally I would prefer if FB moved to an experimental vs stable release system, or at least had open betas for people who want to exe(o)rcise their obsessive compulsive streak doing such work. On the other hand, given the usual aversion most people have to posting any kind of useful log of what they were trying to do and how, or even a simple track file of the results, I would not be surprised if it just made the valid data harder to pick out from the noise.

All the same if you feel like doing something incredibly boring for free you could always mail il2beta@1c.ru and ask :>
