If the graphics settings all tuned all the way up, will that effect the lag in a multiplayer game? I have a 3.4 ghz pentium, 9800 radeon pro, 1 gig RAM and a cable modem, lag shouldn't be a problem but im hitting in the 300s for ping. Any buddy know?

It won't affect multiplayer lag, things like people worping places and other funny bugs, but it will lower your framerate during the time you play, it won't make your game lag behind. The speed of connection makes that desiscion.

System Specs:
1.5 ghz AMD Athlon XP
256 SD RAM 133mhz
ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256 DDR Core: 500mhz Memory:300mhz DDR=600mhz
MSI MS-6382
3DMark03 Score = 3366

I'm not saying your wrong, but are you familiar with their netcode for the multiplayer aspect. I know the lag is based on what is sent across the connections(which there is no way for me to know that). It makes sense that it would slow down the frame rate though, but is it just the fact that this game just came out and the netcode is not as streamlined yet for the lags to be low?
