There is a new game out called "Forgotten Avionics"

Has the German lobby been bending Olegs ear for so long that he has rendered all turn and burners usless.
What a pleasure it was to fly the Hurricain, which scored more kills for the Brits than any other aircraft in WW2.
Now ,,, what a bag of ****.
If it was a bag of **** in reality I would not mind and I'm sure lovers of many of the other a/craft in the game feel robbed.
Lets have 1.1c and correct this Pro- Luftwaffa Travesty .

The Hurri isn't a "bag of ****",it's just no longer the UFO it was in 1.0.

Agreed but the pendulum has swung to the other extreme,
"Usless F****** Object".
Sorry about the passion, but I am annoyed,

Funny, anyone who thinks the hurri was accurate before the patch is nuts.

Same goes for the k4.

A lot of planes needed FM adjustments.

Again, too funny!

Big problem yes for some people, that now the heavy aircrafts are able to be flown the right way! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Shut and and learn to fly.

To state that "IL2 ruined" just because your favorite plane (out of 70 flyables) now behaves less UFO, more realistic, is bordering on paranoia. It would take more to ruin a complete sim.

Gotta add my comment.

Hurricane when used in BoB was allrdy almost obsolete plane , it was slower than Me109E and speed in the end wins the battles.

Pls remember that Hurricane was ok warplane during BoB when fighting Me109E variants you cant expect it to perform and fight well against late time war planes like it did in FB 1.0

But Hurricane was a "Bag of Sh!t" /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Why do you think they gave them to Russia and made Spits for themselves?

It seems like the UFO whiners are way louder than any Luftwhiners ever were, and come with much less data to back whines/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I notice that the new kind of whiners don't even take the time to search pics, charts, stories or anything concrete like the good "old style" whiners. No, it's simply "it sucks"; well, hard to discuss such an elaborated point of view /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Get your facts right. The Hurricane was not a 'Bag of Sh!t' at all, Hurricanes accounted for more German aircraft kills in the Battle of Britain than the Spitfire.

Oh, and Russia also had Spitfires 'given to them', I _think_ somewhere in the region of 1500.

Matt.

What planes did the Hurri kill mostly?

Was it the BF-110 or the HE-111's?

Were they able to get to the bomber /fighters because the Spits engaged the 109 escorts?

If you could go back in time say and you had your choice between a Hurricane or a 109 and your life depended on it...which would you choose?

Was the Hurrican a war winning aircraft?

Does nationalism have anything to do with your fevor regarding the Hurricane and its new more accurate FM?

Sorry I meant to post that in a more sarcastic tone but forgot the facehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I really meant I was a bag of Sh!t compared to late war planes which is totally reasonable I think. Against an Emil they are still fairly tough opponents and rightfully should be. They are just not unstallable anymore, they act like the slightly underpower but agile plane they should be. And the whole nationalism thing, I am from the US.

I`m British and I love the Spitfire, but the Hurri always came 2nd. Now in the original FB i enjoyed the turns of the plane, but knew in the back of my mind that it wasn`t right. The Hurri turns like it`s held up by wires- near impossible to stall. It just COULD NOT be that good in reality. I think now that it`s far more realistic. Still a good turner, but now needs practise (as in reality). Olegg`s mistake was making it so unstallable in the first place.

I can admit that the Hurri was too good in its turns. How many Luft whiners (and poss P 47 complainers, etc) are prepared to reduce their plane`s performance for reality and admit it?

I admit LW planes were overmodelled in 1.0.Somebody should learn to separate tow kinds of luftwhiners.

1.N00bs or revisionists who want LW to lcimb to 5000m in 1min.

2.Ppl who love LW aircraft and would want to fly one for real. It`s only possible for few,so they insist on making LW in FB as realistic as possible.

I am satisfied with current LW aircraft performance.Though not IL2 FM,at least closer to realism.

Hi,

Things has changed a lot and somehow i understand feelings like title of this thread. IMO IL2FB v1.1b is better than it has ever been.

specially online gaming gets more sense since people won't get frustrated while trying their historical tactics.

Allways used to say directly what i have to say and i won't let you down this time either:

FB is now the game what i waited when i bought it. Thank you very much Oleg and your dev team.

Best regards:

Sami

(ps. i thought that i was banned..eh..)

The Hurricane is still a tad overmodelled and should stall at high angles of attack.

This comes from a pilot of the BBMF.

The Hurricane was a good plane early on but was a Bomber Killer (hence the score ratio) and it was the experience of the pilots and not the plane that gave it an edge over the Emil. The Hurricane was outmatched by the Emil in a one to one DF.

It's called Reality, Gravity and Physics... Finally.

LOL to all 'Canewhiners.

Learn how to fly a real plane governed by the laws of physics.

I can now fly the Hurri occasionally without feeling slightly embarrassed, and those 4 20mms still cause some heavy damage, some people are never happy especially in ORR.

If there has ever been a typical whine, this was it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Accusations of bias and lobbying, without any proof, data, numbers or records.

Quite an achievement for a newbie - take it from an experienced Luftwhiner ! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Now seriously, if you provide evidence of Hurricane's turn rates, dive and level speeds, climb rates, zoom climb data or similar, you might have a chance. This way you only give yourself a bad reputation.
