Could your team modify the aircraft marking system for more historical realism? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
For example, late war German planes, such as Bf-109G14, Bf-109K4, FW-190D9, Ta-152H, Go-229 etc., only have one type of marking. They use WHITE balkens on feulsage, over wings and under wings. But under wing balkens were usually BLACK, does anyone find a historical profile with WHITE balkens under wings http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-mad.gif
My suggestion is, would the development team modify the late war Luftwaffe marking system, using three diffent index files to load the associated marking graphics files on fuelsage, over wings and under wings? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Bump.

The way the markings are now for late war aircraft are, as you say, ridiculous. How difficult would it be to add a single MAT file for the underwing balkenkreuz?

And before anyone says it - NO, the IL2MAT program does not solve this problem. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hi,
another JG54...I am from I/JG54, and you? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
As far as I know, for late war LW planes, fuelsage balkens used black more frequently than white, and many planes used 1943 style ironcosses on fuelsage.
The IL2 MAT programm can't solve the late war German markings until the dev. team add MAT files to the planes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/1072.gif

I'm actually from a I/JG54 squad as well. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Although sadly the squad was disbanded a while back. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif But I keep the handle just the same. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

As for fuselage balkens, white was the general standard for late-war 109s, whilst black was used extensively on 190Ds, A-9s and Ta152s.

Oleg, please fix this this! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
