I believe that dodging backwards should drain stamina, dodging left and right should stay the same, there seems to be a new tactic of just dodge backwards (while not in exhaustion mode) and waiting for a slight opening and getting in 1 or two light attacks. I started to see this happening towards the end of season 2 now some of you might call this a good strategy and I'm just complaining over nothing but it's feels like it's turned a fighting game into a game of tag. I've noticed it most with assasins because that is part of their tools to win, but as I main assassins I've never had to dodge back 10-20 times just to win a match. And it's a little frustrating trying to punish without untargeting them because your attacks don't go the distance they dodge. I'd love to hear your feedback on my statements

Yep I agree. Dodging backwards is part of some turtlers kit. It would help the offensive meta by making dodge cost stamina.

Most "gap closers" are parry baits so you can't really use them.
