Earlier, I sent out a post on a picture of an IowaClass Battleship firing her guns (with blast concussion on the ocean) and I thought that I'd go ahead and upload to my (Yahoo) photo library some of my favorite photos of Navy Carriers and Navy (Military) aircraft.

If anyone has a link to their own favorite photo library or a link to a photo gallery of Naval Aircraft (any country), then it would help us not to miss any of the great photos that have been posted in all of the different threads on Pacific Fighters.

I must admit however, that most of my photos are modern military. ... And yes, I'm waiting for Maddox and 1C to deveop a decent game for modern jets 1960-1970 (HINT)

Thanks.

- Dave

A speck of dirt on your windscreen could turn into an enemy fighter in the time it took to look round and back again. A little smear on your goggles might hide the plane that was coming in to kill you.

Thanks for putting up the other Skyraider photos DStrong86. I have always loved this bird. There's a good book out called "Cheating Death" Air Combat Rescues in Vietnam and Laos by George J. Marrett. George flew the famous A-1J Skyraider called Sock-It-To-Em. This book is a good read.

Maybe Maddox 1C could also work on REGIONAL WARS ... VIETNAM then ISRAEL 1967
... after the Mediterranean WW2 ;-)

*** The Skyraiders, F4 Phantoms and A4 Skyhawks were taken from individual websites US units or combat veterans of Vietnam.

You should seriously take a look at the Navy Seawolfs, SEALS, Army Ranger-LRRPS and SOG for special operations. The HAL (Helicopter Attack Light) Seawolves were Navy helicopter close air support and extraction for SEALS and MARINES (and anybody else). SOG (Special Operations Group) was classified operations Nam, Laos, etc - where again many deserved decorations (even MOH) but since it was classified they were "on their own".
