Why do you say that? I've seen the exterior model at Netwings, a long time ago.

I saw a thread that had a link to the new IL2 database...it had some PF aircraft listed... with a disclaimer where they got the info from basically stating it wasn't official.

Ki-27 and Ki-21 are in! Hello flying tigers!

try here <http://www.il2db.com/>

May be AI only. This is a Bad News indeed.

Even so, as long as there are AI Ki~27, one may get by using Ki~43 for Player plane and disable landing gear key command before taking off.

like I said... if its not there at first then it probably will be patched in later

We've discussed the China-Burma-India region. Early Japanese fighters like the Nate, C-47s, P-40s and a little imagination in converting existing maps...and we're there, making AVG missions and "flying the hump." Extreme One and Poymando did a credible job recreating the BoB on the Gulf of Finland. Why couldn't we do CBI in the Caucusus Mountains in Kuban?

A Ki 27 (and an early model Ki-43) would allow you to do so much in terms of the early air war over SE Asia that I would really like to see one.

Additionally, it's really cool http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dont you guys get your nickers in a bunch. No official planelist has been posted. Anything posted anywere is PURE speculation based on very limited data and guesses.

My post's are my asumptions only, and in no way linked to fact. I am not an official 1C, Ubi, or Russian Red Rocket spokesman.

I have a couple of DF maps on the Kuban that simulate the defence of Rangoon and attacks on the Burma Road. Never got a lot of interest in them on HL, but those who have flown them like them.

I remember seeing that picture in a book once.

I believe it said that the insignia was from an IJAAF flight training school.

I could be wrong though.

Hey, my first post! Hi, everybody.

Heywooood,

Missed this one initially.

In Emblems of the Rising Sun - Imperial Japanese Air Force Unit Markings, by Peter Scott, these markings are described as belonging to the Akeno Student Company. Whatever the exact name, it was some sort of training unit.

Highly recommended book for those with an interest in IJNAF markings.

I love the Nate, it should be a challenging ride and a natural adversary for early CBI and East Indies campaign.

Come and think of it, I'd love to see this early bird pair up with the Claude!
