Couldn't agree more. 3d model of Bf109 is very old-it was one of the first models for original Il-2. Doubt that Maddox team can spare time to improve it, but if Oleg approves, maybe some 3rd party modellers could make Bf series cockpits more up-to-date.

Conclusion: any one possesing skill to turn it into piece of art-talk to Oleg and consider possibilities to remodel/reskin all Bf cockpits.

hi,
indeed..why not.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

and of course totally nearly all planes..or let me say this 'wrong'and corrupt 'gnomish' camera view system and many overframed cockpit struts and bars by low poly design in many planes even more at FW-190 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

the developer waste his time (or not by counting money http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif )to many addons but not in fixing main problems(view/Ki/FM/DM...long list http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif )in this runnig game since start of early IL-2/FB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

my two cents to this ....

hope the users wake up to recognizce this and claime for a fix all of this ... or are You all looking only for many kiddy new planes and some palm beaches ?

You are right, I agree with you, but it wont happen.

The reason?? Money.

Another reason: would need a major overhaul of the game engine to fix everything, and then a helluva lotta time put aside to fix everything that got screwed in the code coz of the new fixes, and so on. That is a major job I am sure.

That's why BoB is being developed; it's a new engine.

Unfortunately, the "more is not enough" philosophy and allowing 3rd party modellers to model whatever aircraft they fancied has been the undoing of FB and has resulted in very little really constructive work being done to AI routines, damage models and flight models, etc.

That's not to say that work hasn't been done, because it has. It's just that with more than 100 flyables, making each one even 90% of what it was in RL becomes a very unforgiving task, especially given the nutballs that frequent this forum!!

Anyway, enjoy what you got, and look forward to what's coming!!

whit ye looking at, ya big jessie?!?!

As far as I remember from announcements being made, BoB engine will feature sort of improved FB engine. Agreed that a major work would be needed in order to improve everything. Cockpit only, I just guess, would be a minor work, compared to everything else.

Now they claim they don't want Flyable Ju~88.

You Know when the Fiats and Macchis come out you all will leave Fb109 forever anyway.

Get over it. Accept it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Luthor, Regia Aeronautica and A.N.R. flew also with F4, G2, G6, G6AS, G10, G14, G14AS, K4, BF 110, JU 88, JU 87 ecc. ecc..

When we'll have MC 205 and G55, we'll fly mission with a mix of italian and german fighters. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I love Gustav, and i would like have an improved cockpit. Gustav is not simple "another" bird.

hi,
I'm looking forward to a new Addon policy to third parties. (hope to FB/PF too)
not at all as the small business arround MS FS9/04...
but in a way of intelligent integration of complete new planes (including campagnes/miss./maps ..) and more high accurate design. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
I guess BoB with it's so called own FM datacontainers per plane could be the way http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

a long perspective to advanced addon products

of course it's a problem of integration by the dveloper and that's may be the different to other products in the fs-sim narket.

by the way: B-17 addon + story ../german Ju-52 transport campagne..
there are many interest sceneries but I gues this should include also some new plane designs

that 109 cockpit skin looks very very great, but 50 years old http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif the planes those days were just a few months old. that skin isn't good for use in FB. great work anyway.

Great attitude Veltro, what we have in game is material of unknown origine, cockpits realy need serious makeup. Give us the files! No more misticism about reskining some realy ugly done textures. Let the artists do the job.

Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedÔ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

It`s all talk guys and not the first time this topics started. Untill direct dialog is initialized with O.M. nothing will happen. To do so, i need something better then this picture. I asked Leadspitter a while go to give me some samples on P-47s pit... would be nice if whoever did that 109 would provide something as well. Untill then...it just words and wishes.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

One way or another I spend alot of time in the Messerschmitt cockpit - it would be soooooooooooo nice to have it redone to be this quality( like the Gladiator) but perhaps lose the kitty & give us a real wartime portrait ofr pin-up?

Better yet, how about being able to upload a pic into the "frame"
Could something like this be workable? kinda like a skin for a skin
