Yes -
OnlineMT (desert map)

Online9a , 9aWinter, 9b, 9bWinter - small map with 4 bases - no objects http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Online10a, 10b, 10bWinter, 11a and 11b
Somewhat bigger maps with 16 bases - no objects http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't see differences between the maps in the last two groups above (except the winter/summer http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)

Yeah there are some flat ground maps with grass strips. Also comes in winter formats. I think there is about 6 other maps aside from the desert one.

Online stuff...

The clear tendency of this sim. No new historical maps. Even Normandy and Ardennes have that 'online' taste.

Don't worry about us offline players (or worry with us?) I am sure that desert map is about to get a real workout from all angles.

Long anticipated & highly appreciated. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I came across a small oasis on the desert map. I dont know how many there are, but its a nice touch. It is complete with buildings and a few trees.

They also added a second online islands map with NO PALM TREES! Should boost fps a bit.

The new "online MT" map (presumably standing for Mediterranean Theater) is a welcome addition. While it isn't large (similar in size to the PTO online island 8), its desert topography is nice. There are several new online maps (designated like 9a, 9b, etc), but I can't tell much difference between them. I assume they are primarily for the online DF crowd. They are somewhat large and devoid of variations in elevation. There are two online island 8 maps listed now, but I can't tell any difference between them either.

The nice thing about these new maps is that you can taylor them to suit your tastes.... at least thats what I like... Id love to see London and Paris but in the meantime I can settle for what i have.
