View Full Version : anyone else have problems with ntrks?

i'm flying in an il2-t heading for some ships anchored close to shore [pearl harbor mission] i cross over an airport, strafe, hit and destroy parked P-40's. just before i get to the water i release the torpedo. i switch to F2, the torpedo hits the water, a plume of spay goes up, thet orpedo runs hot and true and ends in an explosion on the ship.
i play back the ntrk
my tracers OVERSHOOT the P-40 and my torpedo impacts in the GROUND just before the water!!!
can anyone else repeat this glitch?

With the 1.22 patch there was an alteration to the code to stop speed cheaters, if I remember correctly, which inadvertantly caused recording of NTRKs to be faulty.

Was this track recorded with the 1.22 version, or with AEP version??

I belive Oleg said that it would be addressed in the add on. As I don't have the add on (I'm in the UK) then I dunno if it has been fixed. Anyone know if it has?

You're positive you're trying to play back an ntrk rather than a trk? Such behaviour shouldn't occur with the ntrk files at all and something genuinely strange is happening if that's true. Weird.

v1.22 removed playback of some firing effects as a result of other anti-cheat changes.

no this was last night after installing AEP i recorded them ntrk in AEP and played them back in AEP

tracks depends on your computer performanse to, if ur computer is been force, the tracks will be recorded all way off

I saved a TRK file of a V-1 hunt, when I played it it was all wrong, I even ended up crashing in it while it didn't even happenend in the mission.

If you use TIME COMPRESSSION when you play back your track, there is great chances that you see an altered version of the events.

rbstr44, JRJacobs has already mentioned that he's talking about AEP, not 1.22.

Like wcat I have an odd .trk of a V-1 mission. Problem: When I start AEP and run the track once, everything is alright. But when I play it for a second time it's different. The first V-1 explodes 20 seconds after it started to burn, instead of 30 seconds. Every time I repeat playing the track before I shut down AEP it's different. Only when I close AEP and restart the program I get one good replay of the track! The following replays will be corrupted again.

I didn't use time compression while I recorded the track. And using time compression during replay has no influence on whether it plays correctly or not.

I have problems with moving AAA vehicles (Soldatenfz 251 etc.).

In the original flight, i hit it. In the *.ntrk (yes, AEP!) I' don't. They don't behave the same as in the original flight (only version it worked correct since FB 1.0 was 1.21).

I give it up now. I don't build any more missions with moving AAA from now on!

In AEP there is still bug in tracks - when you watch tracks you see like planes flying in lag.

I seem to have about 600 old ntrks and even the earliest work fine.

The old trk files dont work.

I think if you had read through the post at the other end of the link, you would have found this statement:

"We will attempt to rectify the NTRK situation in the Ace Expansion Pack, which will also contain an even higher anti-cheating protection ensuring continuously stable online play in the future."

So, the link is relevant--obviously, they have known about the NTRK problem since v1.22; but, no, it has not been fixed in AEP as stated in that post.

rbstr44, the problem in 1.22 was that we couldn't see the bullets we fired. This has been fixed in 2.0.

None of the the issues reported in this thread can be explained by the "missing bullets" from 1.22.

We are talking about new bugs now. There were no V-1 in 1.22.

It's not helpful to distract from the new issues by pointing to the old ones.
