yes - limit your time !!

i am sure there is a direct relationship between my failing two modules of my degree and the release of FB early last year

This is why I chose NOT to reinstall FB (with a dissertation to do - and a masters one at that) after rebuilding my machine http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif however due to various circumstances (i.e. extreme stress over this bit of work which is in turn making me a bit depressed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif ) I have just been signed off sick.... for 6 weeks! Damn it! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Guess I'll just have to reinstall FB (waiting for aces though.... c'mon....c'mon) and cheer myself up LOL!

Yup, my GPA has suffered due to this game as well. If only I had a class on the airwar history of WW2, I'd be back on the deans list http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif

Welcome to the Online! I can barely stand flying offline now - it's just not as fun or challenging!

And oh yes, BTW...my wife thinks I should marry my computer! Silly woman! It's the Sim not the platform!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

Look for me on HyperLobby. My callsign is "Mitlov" and I'm normally in a P-38 or P-63.

I'm also using a 56k dialup connection, and overall I've had pretty good luck. Certainly this game runs better on 56k than Warcraft III or Ghost Recon does.

I've got to say--I learned more about dogfighting in one afternoon of multiplayer than in a month of QMB. And one online kill is as satisfying as a dozen QMB kills.

When you get AEP, get on Sparxx's ACES'server, tons of fun, being spending my online time there the last couple of days.

It's scripted so all maps are objective driven and with a restricted planeset for axis and allies. Objectives change with every map so sometimes the Allies are attackers (attacking ground objectives) and Axis has to defend/intercept, and in the next map is usually viceversa depending on which side won the last map. Very fun.

BTW, I go by the same handle in Hyperlobby as in here: NetDaemon.

See ya there...

I totally agree with you there, my heart never races in QMB of campaign but put me online in a dog fight and I'm worried about how I am going to die or if I will get lucky this time. I happend to be in a server yesterday and got a lot of good hits on an IL2T with an I.A.R. 81(very good plane IMO), and he crashed while trying to land, I let him(her) go after he(she) turned on his(her) landing light, but the plane did crash and I consider it a victory for me (MY FIRST KILL YAHOOOOOO), I also went up against a P-51(not sure what model) and scored a few hits but I wound up crashing into the ground for being to low, it was great though.
