i just remembered seeing that the mkVs doesnt eject cannon shell casings from its wing because the exit port wasnt textured (oopsy!). hopfully the mkIX wing has the cannon shell casing port texutred.

small detail but if ur gonna fix a sign in the cockpit, i thought id throw this by ya.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks oleg for ur time as always.

Isn't there supposed to be a Mark V default texture update as well?

Whether or not a shell ejection port is textured shouldn't make any difference to whether the spent shells are shown. If casings are coded to drop out when the cannons are fired, they'll drop ... kind of like how the bomber aircrews jump through solid walls when they bail.

Any chance we can have control of the flaps like the AI has control of the flaps. I am aware that in reality there is only 2 stages of flap, however if you let the AI do the takeoff you'll see it selects half flaps for takeoff.

I know i can set this up myself if i bind flaps to a slider but i do not have a spare slider so cannot do that. Surely that also creates an unfair advantage for anyone who does have spare sliders laying around considering the majority do not have any spare sliders

the two flap settings are correct, the spitfire only has fully up or fully down settings, the problem is the AI setting intermediary flap with the consequence if you watch the flap button (top left of front panel) you will see it rotating through the forward bulkhead.

Are you absolutely sure that the Mk Vb is SUPPOSED to eject its shells? It could be that the 60 RPG drum that fed the Mk Vb canon recollected the casings?
I used to have a 1:48 model-kit of a Spitfire Mk Vb, and I don't remember seeing any ejection holes.

yeah they do have ejection holes, its right behind the landing carrage hole in the wing. its a small detail for sure.
