Hi all

I've downloaded "Shturmovik" and a few chatter files. I'm looking for more programs or files that add an extra bit of realism to the game. I was hoping someone knew of some more little goodies or had some advice. Thx in advance. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

How much more realism do you want? As it stands Forgotten Battles with Aces expansion is about as realistic a WWII sim as we can get at the moment.

OK

Well I've just bought a second FFB2
also Have aces expansion pack for FB and have just bought Just Flight's "Battle over Europe" Expansion. Added to my "To get" list for quite a while is a Radeon 9800pro. Am not going down the TIR road - too much . Tend to agree with c-ber. This sim is about as good as you can get.

Also there are a number of things you can get for free - Uberdemons Uber Quick mission Generator. http://www.uberdemon.com/

And Also IL2 MAT Manager which smartens up the appearance of the markings/insignia on the planes as well as a few other enhancements.

Hope this helps

Hey thx ASM_1, that's the sort of thing I was looking for. I try the IL-2 Mat before but found it a little difficult to understand so I haven't really put too much effort into it.
The UQMG looks really interesting. I'm downloading it now.

c-ber3, from reading other threads I've realized there seems to be a lot of goodies you can add on to IL-2. A few guys have made some cool programs to give many more options and realism. Sure, I agree it's the best sim going but there's a lot of extras out there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Glad to have helped

Looking forward to getting BOE - yeah IL2 is great for customisations etc, which in turn is not so great for my budget/cash flow LOL! And the free stuff is pretty cool too!
